Darth Plagueis is my all time favorite Star Wars book, too! James Luceno is so good at world building. Great video! I have many new titles on my list to acquire now...
I've only read about half of Heir to the Empire and holy crap why did George Lucas not IMMEDIATELY make these into the sequel trilogy? It's so dang good.
Daaang that's a sweet collection!! I want to get a hardback of Darth Plagueis which is also my favorite star wars book, I'll probably just take the hit because it a masterpiece and deserves to be appreciated lol, I also just got the paperback of Kenobi and cant wait to read it 🤘
@@ParanormalMetalMan That's about the going rate for Plagueis, so you did pretty well. I have a question. there is a Star Wars book at Barnes and nobles a while back that was wrapped in clear plastic it had little inserts and things about Star Wars do you know how I could find it again
oh my that target rising storm cover is fantastic i am bummed i got the normal version now lol also i cannot believe i paid $80 for heir of the jedi yikes
Plagueis = best overall StarWars book! BUT....... it's strange that you don't have a higher opinion of the Darth Bane trilogy. You called your original Thrawn/Zahn the "Holy Grail" of SW books, but I'd place the Karpyshyan trilogy right up there with it. It's the foundation of the current Sith order and definitely deserves more praise than you gave it. Also, where are your High Republic books?! "Light of the Jedi" is the 2nd best book I've read this year with "Phasma" a pleasant suprise at #1!
I do show all of the High Republic Books (at the time) in this video and Phasma. They are in the Canon section of the video. This video is almost a year old however, and there is an updated one that came out in January (watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/7lVO-_9VwXY/v-deo.html ). There aren’t too many box sets in Star Wars book collecting. Recently though, there was a box set of the Thrawn Trilogy in the Essential Legends Collection format. That would be a great place to start.
@@theloudstarkirby4203 The Thrawn Trilogy is the best place to start if you're reading Legends. If you want to read Canon, the current series, The High Republic, is one of the largest series in Canon. Canon doesn't have too many book series, so if you have a specific character or era of Star Wars you enjoy, you can almost certainly find a stand-alone book about it.
@@starwarslads that sounds very cool. So for the only series i been reading was percy Jackson,on book 4 right now. ots hard to find any star wars books at amazon
Percy Jackson is also a great series! Really enjoyed the original five books. Amazon has most Star Wars novels at least available in paperback. If you want hardcovers, eBay or other secondhand websites would be a better way to go.
It depends on which types you are looking for. If you’re wanting every Star Wars book ever than there are upwards of 400 books to collect across Legends and Canon. If you just want adult novels, there are around 250. And if you’re just looking for hardcovers, there are closer to 200. There are detailed lists of every Star Wars book ever on Wookiepedia I recommend checking out.

It’s still amazing!
Unpopular opinion I really like the crystal star but it was also the first Star Wars book I ever read when I was a kid at my library. So nostalgia

@@starwarslads paid about $44 for it, used but good condition, seems like a good deal but I'm no book value expert lol

@@starwarslads 😮 I will most certainly check this out thank you for your insight 🙏
Into the dark technically is first in chronological order. Due to the book starting before the hyperspace disaster in light of the Jedi.
That’s true, I just prefer LotJ first because it chronicles The Great Disaster for context in ItD. Thanks for watching!
Have you collected any of the Star Wars Galaxy of Fear series? They are a personal favorite of mine that I’m always looking for.
I don't have any books in that series yet. They're hard to find in the wild unfortunately.
@@starwarslads Definitely. I found one at a thrift store last year but haven’t gotten lucky since!

Haha, thanks Matt!
