    Spolier alert! Tip 1) use a really great drummer. Tip 2) Use a great sounding drum kit. Tip 3) Record it in a great sounding room. Does anything else matter? What about mic choices? What about mic pre's? Well, yes, that can matter as well, but the single most important thing is having a great drummer! A great drummer will make almost any kit sound great, and any half decent microphones, placed correctly, will capture that.

    Great job! What preamps are you using? I see the Studio Live 32 which is what I also have and was curious if you just used its pre's or had other external ones. Thanx!
