- This video looks at 2 students responses from the January 2022 exam paper. Student A achieved a MERIT while Student B achieved a DISTINCTION.
I will look at the students responses to the Section C / D questions and try to explain WHY / HOW they scored how they did.
At time of recording / release of this video the Mark scheme for this paper has not been released and so any comments on answers are based on my own judgement/ experience.

I thought i did well and barley got a pass 🤧
It can be disheartening. What I have suggested to my students in the same situation is to request a copy of your script so you can take a look at your answers and the marks it got. If my students are resisting I have suggested they do this and we can go through their paper and look at areas to work on.
Have a chat with your teacher. I’m sure they would be willing to take a look and give some feedback/ suggestions.
@@AlansLessons no one in the clsss got a distinction my teacher was shocked about how harsh they mark
I can understand that. The boundaries are very low and it’s surprising the marking is so harsh.
@@sdmn3159 Yeah the grade boundarys are retarded I only know a few people with merits where everyone was scoring distinctions and merits on the mocks
