Do you guys only do a selection of the ones you get? Asking just to confirm whether I had done something wrong when applying.

I am sorry to say that I am very disappointed with the selection of the first lines, their explanation, justification or rejection etc.
I should have kept notes from the beginning. I didn't. But how do you agree with the explanation of this first line - They brought the coffin into her parents' room - picked his Father from the bed - lowered him into the box?
I don't remember now if the genre of this story was humour or not, but there is so much to be said about this extremely simple yet meaningful first line. While Rebecca dwelt more on the coffin, she should have said something about those people having mistakenly picked up the father instead of the diseased mother!
Whatever, I guess, the fact that my first liner was rejected for the third time - has been quite disappointing. How is the selection done? Is the selection fair?
Anyway, I would like to extend my heartiest gratitude to Reedsy for the tremendous job it is doing to help aspiring writers like me. I wish Reedsy all the very best in the days ahead.
