What filter are you using on this tank?
Hello, for how long should I keep an M3 twinstar on for?
By any chance do you now the current and voltage?
Which reactors r used n this?... I mn the material
It is use in Biofloc system?
How does it work? Has anyone ever taken one apart?
Where can i get this product . Send me a link dude
Were can i order the yotta s
Am i supposed to leave this one on 24/7?
Is there data to prove it works. Without irritating the breathing membranes within the fish’s gills?
I'm late to this but its mainly for planted aquariums only but you can use it for about 2 hours with fish in the tank. Dont run the thing crazy long or the fish may die.
Hello, du you think it will kill my Marimo's as they are algae's.
What purpose to use this product
I purchased the m5 and it just arrived. I've been trying to do some more research on how long or how many times a day u turn on..anyone know??
Just a few minutes per day
Hello, I am curious how it turned out?!
Is it safe and worth the money?
@@FabriceTo Save the money, doesnt do anything
It will turned on and off by it self but fish all dead after I been used,,,,3days
Just bought nano twin star will not work in my tank have power no bubbles
Will this cook my shrimp?
How does this affect water pH?
what if you put your hand into the water while it is still powered on?
Please, do not put your hands into the aquarium once you have turned on the power.
Nothing will happen and you will be fine, i own a M5 and made sure to test this out first before putting it in my tank. You just feel a fine mist along your hand and nothing else.
well...that would be cool. thanks
Hi - I just bought a Twinstar Shrimp and in both modes it just stops after 10 seconds. Is that what it’s meant to do or is it defective?
Having the same issue, any solution?
It’s meant to do that it runs on a timer
Makes me laugh, they work incredibly well. Have 2 in shrimp tanks running co2, its that good I've had the same co2 diffuser in my tank for 2 months without having to clean it. They only used to last 2 week's before i put twinstar in there. So believe it works very well. Only algae it won't stop is bba
who came up with the ridiculous prices
Does this lower the pH in the aquarium? Do you need to need to make sure there are enough of electrolytes inm the aquarium for it to work?
Can I add gold solution and gold plate my fish...
Added sliver solution in my aquarium and plated my normal dollar tetra into silver dollar tetra.. next is arowana
Only if you have gold fish
Mine shuts off after like 30 seconds of being on, is mine defective?
That how it work. I got mine also working periodically.
Hola buenas niches le escribo de Perú aca en mi pais no hay tiendas donde venden twinstar o hacen envió espero informe gracias
En inglés !!!! Preguntale
Los consigues en mercado libre
I guess the free radicals would kill off floating algae spores, but I feel flourish excel, 3day blackouts every month, putting in hornworts, or some other cheaper method would have a similar deterrence on algae. As for the oxygenating effect, an airpump would do the job. But I have to admit, the cloud of fine bubbles looks quite cool, but why not use platinum filled titanium for longevity?
Work on BBA?
No, dont work in anything!
No. Lol theres bba growing on mine
Тоже хочу твинстар, где продаётся, сколько стоит и есть ли доставка в Москву
Евгений Попов на али есть chihiros doctor, тоже самое, но дешевле
Where can I buy this in the United States
The internet
Ever heard of Google? jesus christ.. just search you moron.
its so easy to make your own one of these devises if anyone wants the link let me know, i found a few yesterday
i want to know
Me too
Yess send me please
I used to use this product and now.... algae still growth.
get some miniature catfish.... they love eating it
Get a Siamese algae eater, otocinclus, shrimps and nerite snails
electrolysis produce hydrogen gas and oxygen now is hydrogen gas safe for fish?
no, it produces hydroxyl radicals (OH-) and singlet oxygen which combines to make O2.... it said that in the video....
H20 -> 2h2 + O2 it’s not possible to make oh and a singlet oxygen and keep the equation balanced. Try it urself Sean.
i use chihiros doctor. buat i got green algae😓😓
annoying music
u mean an improvised water pump?
After throwing away so much time on fake web apps, I want to save your energy and because the only web app that works is Gamecrook.
It's not true !!!
so this product somehow produces free radical oxygen species that aren't harmful to fish, but these free radicals are present in high enough concentration to reduce the concentration of organic compounds...even though my fish are made of organic compounds and any living thing would be damaged by free radicals...I'm guessing this thing is bunk science with zero data
If you put h2o2 in your skin it kills bacteria and other stuff, but it doesn't kill you, so it's possible.
@@ee02108 yes it won't kill human because human have trillion trillion cell.
of course h202 will kill the superficial cell layer of human skin same goes for plant and fish and the more the contact time the more cell will be killed.
yes it will kill bacteria and algae as they are unicellular or have low numer of cell, so it will kill beneficial bacteria too
This looks vaguely cool but I have never seen evidence that it actually DOES anything useful in an aquarium.
There are some side by side comparisons and it's significant. Look up Twinstar Nano comparison.
Oh it does stuff alright. But it will also kill ur fish.
@@jesusherrera2749 If you don't follow the instructions or pay attention to your fish, it sure will.
@@thawolf5921 Pero ellos dicen que es inofensivo para los peces, porqué aseguras que pueden morir?
junk
I'm sorry but this product falls into the 'high-tech non-essentials' category, very much like ADA Power Sand, Tourmaline BC & Dupla/JBL heating cables. Flashy rich kid's toys at best but just that, toys. Things that you don't need but provide a bit of fun, as well as futuristic coolness that rivals in sophistication to a marine aquarium stocked with exotic live corals.
I've seen these Twinstar units in action at various professional aquascape outlets - all featuring high-tech Nature Aquariums, Dutch tanks & were the tanks free from algae? *No! There were still algae in the tanks, including that strip of BGA under the substrate touching the glass panels.*
Which begs the question: "Why bother?" Simply because of BUSINESS. Yes, it's business as usual. Ah, but shopowners everywhere will be furious should that be a topic for debate but really, marketing fads happen.
We, as consumers need to be discerning & knowledgeable. All planted aquariums, no matter what tech-level each operates on goes through the *same* bio-rythym (new tank syndrome, old tank syndrome) as well as buochemical processes that slow down plant growth i.e. allelopathy. It's just a question of speed - the rate at which the tank matures. Which depends on the energy input i.e. light.
So, can this flashy toy's microbubbles prevent algae? Maybe to a small extent but it will never solve the root-cause of algae problems. That being, the natural ageing process of a planted tank which I've mentioned above.
And you can't blame the manufacturers when it is the consumers who lack even basic knowledge, intuition & Science of planted aquariums. They know. That is why, they're in it for the quick buck. If all aquarists, in a perfect world had access to perfect knowledge these companies will close & businesses fold!
Personally, I like to stick to basics & go for mid-tech. Why overcomplicate things & pay more to set up a high tech planted tank that is ageing faster AND demands constant attention lest loss of equlibrium causes everything to go down the ditch? Do people these days not value things like long-term stability & simplicity in favor of quick gimmicks, instead?
I would have read what this product does before posting this rant. They say it only reduces by 80% (average) for only certain types of algae. You still have to be diligent in your fight against algae, but having something to assist in reducing the explosion is ok as well. If you have the money, and it's working, why would you be against it? Some of this hobbies biggest problems are inconsistencies in the online knowledge of how to address concerns and that your way is the only way to do things. The fact is that most people leave the hobby because of algae and those inconsistencies on how to fix these issues. Since there are no chemicals, this is a win. I would take it as such.
@@thawolf5921 Firstly, before you disrespectfully reduce my opinion to a "rant" I urge you to read my post again. Did I imply that "my way" is the right way? No. I merely said the truth, that being a lot of hobbyists today lack actual knowledge, as well as practical understanding of how planted aquariums work i.e. it's dynamic equilibrium & algae being a part of that natural process as an aquarium ages. Thus, their reliance on marketing fads owing to such ignorance. And yes, this product *is* a fad.
Why so? Well, that's because unlike you I don't "read" about products & then try to shoot others down like smart arse - I see the product in action as used by professionals. And I am honestly telling you, despite claiming to reduce algae by 80% & what not, there are still established planted aquariums (~ 2 years old) that suffer from algae breakout even with this thingamajig running & kept in pristine working condition. That's because algae is symptomatic of an aquarium losing it's state of equilibrium. Algae is not the problem itself. Do you understand this concept? It's called 'old tank syndrome' - rejuvenating the biological balance of the aquarium, reducing accumulated organics & ensuring that municipal water supply parameters are not contributing to excess undesirable nutrients (via RO filtration) are the tried & tested methods.
Think you can simply a buy a product off the shelf without understanding water chemistry or how your own aquarium works & expect an algae free aquascape? Your ignorance is showing. Please, before shooting others down do your homework first. And don't presume you're such a badass just because you call yourself 'Tha Wolf' online like what a tryhard. Bet you look like a potato than big, bad wolf in real life, lol!
@@Z4U3398 If you know how to fix or assist with a solution to the algae problem, make a video with proof it works. I'll subscribe and donate money to you. Truly. Everyone you trashed (see your comment about not blaming manufacturers for consumers lack of knowledge in your opinion) are on these channels looking to expand their knowledge. Keep in mind, that drives people from the hobby also. I would make another channel though because if they know that you speak so ill of the people who would be donating their time and money to you, it would be over for you regardless of how much you know.
In my reply to you, I stated you must be diligent. Never said it was a one stop shop for algae reduction. Also, I said it was 80% of certain algae types. That means that different algae's at different stages may not be reduced. Another way to take that is use it like a tool, if you have the money. If you don't, learn the science. Don't trash people for their money and their choice. Just like you and I can say whatever we want, we can also spend on what we want. I'll go with what people I know personally have done for years and had success with. This is a good product, and only reduces the frustrations of algae, not eliminate. We can get something to help while we learn. Nothing wrong with that. I know you don't agree, but that's cool.
In all seriousness, you sound like you know more about the lifecycle of algae than most. Get out of the comment section on your soap box yelling about how corporations are bad and arm hobbyists with the science behind this annoying ass problem. There are some ok channels with information, but you seem to have the ability to go further. Then you will be a hero to people who feel lost. If you don't want to do it though, don't trash others. Looks crappy.
On another note, I hope you are well. I hope you, your family, friends, and anyone else close has had no issues during this crappy ass pandemic. I may be an ass, but I would still be cool with you in person. We can disagree over good food. I am a tryhard in certain games. Come at me bruh. :P
@@thawolf5921 Yada-yada-yada... ok, potato. Here is the crux of the matter that you highlighted in your comment above: "This is a good product, and only *reduces the frustration of algae, not eliminate."
Right there is a statement based on value judgement. Not critical. Not empirical (backed by Scientific data). And definitely not tackling the root cause of the problem. Which I've already stated above - algae is symptomatic. It is not the problem itself.
And wow, look at you. So judgemental! No UA-cam content? Therefore, not valid point of view. Pfft. I think it is you who needs to get out of YOUR online soap box & get some sun. UA-cam isn't everything, boy. It's not the be all & end all or Holy Grail of truth. UA-cam is just a business platform. And unlike you? I see no need to be a nuthugger for any UA-cam channel owner. What? Do you have a % share with Juris or something? Please.
Online & offline are two different things. Some of the best IAPLC scapers, for instsnce don't have a UA-cam channel but then? They're grand champions! Some like George Farmer, for example have the coolest content on UA-cam but when it comes to scaping? Nothing out of the ordinary. Do you get my point?
Like, I don't have any content on my channel. Thus, you judge me too quickly like as if I were some kind of hobo in real life. Please. I'm a *professional* aquarist by vocation. Like, have you swam with Mekong Giant Catfishes? Patted a Chao Phraya River Giant Stingray? Taken care of Electric Eels? Or scaped *DOZENS* of plantee tanks & met dozens more of pro aquascapers in your lifetime? Come on, man. You don't want me to come at you in real life. Ha. The Tryhard meets The Natural. Sounds crappy, already... 😏
@@Z4U3398 Your "content" is not yours. Therefore all the accolades you listed are at best made up. I could be wrong and you could be an award winning aquascapist. You could do all those things you said you did in real life. However, you have nothing to back that up. I'm just a potato who is learning and starting my journey. I could learn from you, but honestly I don't believe you. "You don't want me to come at you in real life." I welcome the chance to grow, but not from someone who clearly spends more time trying to get the approval of people opposed to actually showcasing those skills in a way that would make me eat these words. You are a just a troll who knows some things about planted tanks. Good luck in life.
Alll fish dead after I used this!!!!!
have you contacted the people you bought it from? Or twinstar themselves?
Nice, useless gadget.
