Zugspitze Day Trip | Germany's Highest Peak

- Zugspitze has to be my favourite this trip! It sits right on the border between Germany and Austria so you get stunning views of both countries. The journey to Zugspitze on the cogwheel train and cable car was really breathtaking as well.

To get there, I bought the Zugspitze Combo ticket from the DB Reisezentrum (DB ticket office) located on the ground floor of Munich Central Station (right in front of the train platforms) for about €70. It includes a same-day 2-way ticket to Garmisch and back as well as a ticket that you exchange at the Zugspitze ticket office for the Zugspitze ticket that takes you up to Zugspitze and back down.
