I always thought it would hilarious if there was dialogue asking Fisher how he knows what to do already. And Sam responds that he's already played this level and that they're all in a videogame and Lambert laughs and tells Sam he doesn't have to be sarcastic.
This game was ahead of its time. Best stealth game ever. Great gameplay, plot, dialogues, characters. Awesome. Still one of the best games I've ever played. Pure fun.
As someone who prefers in certain aspects Blacklist... I AGREE with you. The animations, flexibility of this game and how Sam is moving, the gadgets, locations, everything is absolute top tier. And of course, Amon Tobin and his nu-jazz, drum n base hybrid soundtrack.
Blacklist was totally worst in the series sorry. Story is so bad. Dialogue between Sam and Grimm is awful writing. Conviction was better than Blacklist. But Chaos Theory and first game probably my favorite
Yeah, they did. They remastered the first three games in 2011. The 'Double Agent remaster' you're thinking of? It's actually a separate version of the old Double Agent. The newer one is considered canon since Sam canonically shot Lambert in that one.
It had so much comedic timing for me. First I was completely distracted by the subject of geopolitical ramifications between the members of the splinter cell, then sudden alert as the door is about to be opened with an enemy in the process of spotting Fisher; immediately before his face is aquatinted by a steel reinforced door hitting hard enough to fold him like a lawn chair down the stairs. ...then Lamberts reaction.
lol all the witty remarks, jokes Sam made and then come Conviction and Blacklist and he's in full serious mode not that i'm complaining, love both games but hearing THE Sam Fisher cracking jokes on the job is quite unexpected and funny
I dunno, in Conviction he comments in funny ways regularly, in a contextual manner, when you're taking people out. For example, if you smash a guy's head into a wall after taking him as a human shield, he sometimes will say : "Face, meet wall. Wall, this is a face."
Codex In Conviction there was still humor, and it was ok considering the kind of place Sam Fisher was. But in Blacklist it was inexcusable, nothing more than bad writing.
Even though this is almost 20 years old, I think this was the best Splinter Cell game in the entire series. The later games just didn't capture the spirit that the earlier game did. And Chaos Theory captured that spirit the best.
l love it when the combat themes play during these speedruns, somehow they won't count as 'detected' which is pretty good, modern games would always count as getting spotted.
And then there's me, who's already replayed this game a thousand times over but still takes his sweet ass time trying to get to 100% success rate and failing a bunch of times in the process... Well done, you completed this game in the same time it took me to complete some missions. Awesome video!
Just finished this game for the first time today. Became interested after the rainbow 6 announcement and I’m glad I bought it. This video made me want to play it again :)
My sincere congratulations... Especially for the mission of Bath House... That mission is made very difficult by the Shetland guard bug and by the guards with night vision goggles.
This speedrun makes Sam Fisher seem & look like the biggest bad ass quickest most stealthiest ninja DON in Spy history. He's in and out without being seen like a ghost version of sonic the hedgehog within minutes on each mission.
I don't know why this video was on my home feed, but I'm glad it was. I was feeling nostalgic and i miss the fun smart gameplay of the splinter cell games
You are INCREDIBLE, the bath house took me a lifetime to complete 100% stealth. you made it look like a walk in the park. cudos. yes its a long time since you posted this but only just seen it.
As someone who has played this game over and over again, this is absolutely incredible. You are an absolute wizard, this was a joy to watch end to end!
That part with Turtle and the safe was comedy gold with how you did things right after he explained it. Like when he said hear the beep then the beep a split second after
Nice job! One sloppy thing I noticed from the devs: @ 21:41 they suddenly don't know who M. Nedich is, while you can hear his name from a guard you grab in the level before this one. They discuss the name and say they can't find anything on him. Now they act like that never happened. The dialogue: ua-cam.com/video/AXRO6Mt5trg/v-deo.html Of course not everyone might grab that guard and make him talk in the previous level. But still. Should have made two versions on this level, one for when you grabbed him and thus know his name with something like. "Hey, this Nedich name is popping up again.'' And another one like they have now where they don't know him. EDIT: My mistake! I pressed the computer in the server room and Lambert now knew the name because I did hear it from the guard in the previous level. Link: ua-cam.com/video/AXRO6Mt5trg/v-deo.html Good job devs on making two versions, haha!

I cracked up when you just opened the door and jumped out right behind the guard at the beggining of the ship level. XD I basically always have to knock him out to get him out of the way, that was pretty crazy. Well done. ^^
Absolutely did not expect you to get any 100%s on this run and the fact that you did without any real exploitation is all the more impressive. Now I wanna go back.

But one thing always bothered me, what were they thinking with the beginning when those men torched the guy to death this violent? It can give you nightmares, just awful! Good work, btw.

They really need to remaster this game
Joshua Kozel they did on ps3, another one would be cool as well.

You sure they remastered on PS3? ;x
Yeah, they did. They remastered the first three games in 2011. The 'Double Agent remaster' you're thinking of? It's actually a separate version of the old Double Agent. The newer one is considered canon since Sam canonically shot Lambert in that one.
Sweet Jesus, Fisher.. for PC only I'd imagine.
No, for PS3 only. PC settings for original are just optimized.

Yeah, it's a different Sam though, he still cracked a couple jokes but after that thing with Sarah, he was definitely not the happiest man on earth.
I dunno, in Conviction he comments in funny ways regularly, in a contextual manner, when you're taking people out. For example, if you smash a guy's head into a wall after taking him as a human shield, he sometimes will say : "Face, meet wall. Wall, this is a face."
