A filter is used to catch the dust and other contaminants from the air to provide clean air to the building. Air Filters are used inside air handling units, FCU, indoor units of split AC etc.
@@salimyousuf8848 im currently installing 200+ as a bms electrician. each unit has a trend IQeco controller, that control the picv, measures the supply temp (bead sensor), etc. some fcus have a dedicated wallbus room controller connected to the IQeco. These units, usually about 30, are daisy chained back to a bms panel, Trend IQ4, using belden 9841 for BACnet communication. if their was return air, on our system it would be connected to the DDC

Some fcu works with return temperature sensor not required thermostat(corridors, lift lobbies etc)
