IN / ON / AT: How to Use Prepositions of Time in English | ESL Grammar Lesson

- Learn about the rules of how to use the IN, ON, and AT prepositions of time in English. I'll show you a trick of knowing when to use in, on, and at, and provide you with a chart of when to use each of them. In, at, and on are prepositions that locate people and events in time. We use AT for a specific time, IN for months, years, centuries, and long periods, and ON for days and dates.
Examples:
My birthday is in January.
My birthday is on January 16th.
I was born at 5:46 AM.
There are also specific rules about when to use in, on, and at with holidays depending if you're from the UK or North America, which you will learn about in this lesson.

Can you please make a video about how to use "to" , and "for " like how to say this is for her or this is to her AND also a video about when we need articles. They are such a pain !
thank you very much.
You would say, "This gift is FOR her."
You could also say, "I am giving this gift TO her."
Articles in English can be confusing. The most common mistake with articles that I see from non-native English speakers happens with the word "nature." Someone will say, "I love being out in the nature." This is incorrect. We never use "the" with "nature" when speaking of the natural world. We would say, "I love being out in nature."
Now if you were using "nature" as in "the defining characteristics of something," you would use "the," as in "The nature of U.S. foreign policy . . . "
@@Nitephall I appreciate your informative reply. Thank you.
