*Great video Steve!* Just to add a bit, if you *manually* move the laser to the 0/0 position on the D1 by hand before turning it on, you won't need the green circle.
It might be just my setup, but the wiring harness on the gantry and the air assist can sometimes interfere with my mysterious 0/0. I'm afraid it would never be the same twice. Taking the extra step to start from the machines 10/10 gives me more confidence in repeatability. I only do it when I think I may need to do a second burn attempt on the same piece or when using a jig.
Steve, you need to add this only works if you keep the power on between re-burns, and don’t move anything. it will not work if you shut it down then discover something needs to be re-burned.
Not without stopping the laser. But you can stop the laser. Change the settings. Then preview the job. Run the simulation in preview. And tell it to start from a particular spot in the preview. Picking up from where you paused the job by clicking "start from here" in the preview screen.
If they sent it to me for free and paid me to do the upgrade, sent me a replacement module for the module that failed in the first four months of use, I MIGHT consider using the xTool again. I'm still waiting for a call from them on a warranty claim initiated in September 2022.
Contact me at hobowithwood@gmail.com. Explain the problem you are having. I will contact you with a solution. Too much to go into in a UA-cam comment. But I'm pretty sure I know what's going on.
With the absence of limit switches, this is a lifesaver.

Thanks!
Welcome!
This is exactly what I do as well. Do you know if there is a way to change speed and power settings after you start while it's burning?
