“Hey onbeşli” originally made to honor boy soldiers born in 1315 of the Arabic calendar. It’s a lament but gradually changed over the years. Onbeşli means fifteener. All these soldiers went to Gallipoli war from the Tokat area of Turkey never to be returned! There is also a love story attached to this song of one of the boys from Tokat.
