I like this explanatory style. Right from the start, Joseph grabs your attention by breaking down the six principles of influence in a way that feels so relatable. He doesn’t just regurgitate the book-he adds his own flair, connecting the ideas to everyday scenarios, personal growth, and even business strategy. It's the kind of video where you're nodding along, thinking, "Yes! That totally makes sense!"
I loved how he unpacked concepts like reciprocity and scarcity. His examples are spot-on, and you can’t help but think about all the times you’ve been influenced without even realizing it-like that time you bought something just because it was “limited edition” (been there!).
What really stood out, though, was his focus on ethical persuasion. Joseph doesn’t just teach you how to wield these principles-he challenges you to use them responsibly.

I fall for this, if a sales person is nice to me I'm way more likely to come back there again and buy more. Yesterday I wanted to get my fiancé gifts just for fun so I walked into this random store. So the sales lady was pretty good at getting me to buy things and I ended up with random stuff like knives and a Stanley and t-shirts and Nikes. But usually when they close the sale I noticed salespeople tend to leave you alone. Yet she was there helping me carry the stuff and then thanking me warmly and even asked (after the sale) which smoothie I was drinking. Very friendly lady.

Yes, what I've always appreciated is your integrity. You don't make wild claims, use manipulative tactics, or prey on people's desperation -- you let the "product" speak for itself. I have fallen for sales tactics that DID do the things listed above --- despite having a strong understanding of marketing -- but it always left me resentful.

Joseph sounds like a professor in this video 💯 and this is interesting and can be applied to all aspects of life. Professional ethics was my worst subject at university 🤣 Ngl I found it a waste of time and it seemed like too much red tape, but that was before LOA. I think now I'm more open to it so I'll study and implement it in my life.

I'm definitely an impulse buyer, I see something and I like it so I buy it 🤩 lots of my clothes still have the tags on. I'm getting rid of stuff. My fiancé is the opposite, he wears the same thing over and over again. I make sure he never sees me in the same outfit twice coz I have two years worth of clothes and I know this isn't healthy but oh well.
So I woke up today and saw those smart vacuums on sale. You talk to it and it has voice recognition so it learns how and when you want it to clean, some AI thing. You can tell it where to go clean and it can also follow your voice so it forms a map of your house. AND it cleans carpets. I told my fiancé to get it immediately so we having a cute robo baby that I can talk to 😋 I hope you can change the voice on it.
