Jordan, Mahomes, Woods, Clark , they all brought eye's to their sports because of their talent ,not their race. Tiger made golf exciting to watch for a lot of people who had not cared about watching before him. CC is the same. To people who are racist everything is about race.
Let me preface this by saying I have a 7 year old daughter who I love and support more than anything. Ofcourse I watch and support her sport activities because she’s my child.
That said, let’s call it like it is, women’s sports absolutely suck. I’m sorry to be so blunt but for men who came up playing competitively, it’s like watching paint dry, especially the wnba.
Let’s be real, decent high school boys basketball teams would starch wnba teams. They don’t try and play football because they know they could die. That same sentiment is true in all the big sports minus the contact which allows them to even have a professional basketball league.
Most these females are entitled with all these requests when other women don’t even support the league let alone men as mentioned above.
Like JB said, almost 30 years the wnba been around, never been profitable, riding the coattails of the NBA yet have the nerve to expect this and that.
If they were genuine then maybe I would support just based on being decent people. That said, 99% of wnba players, media, etc only make you want to see them fail more then already naturally happening, sorry to say.
Race plays a role in all sports, really. I mean Caitlyn Clark in my opinion is a JJ Reddick type of player. He was glorified in college but was a spot up shooter in the league. I mean Magic/Bird, the 2 guys who saved the league was about race. Larry Bird went to a majority white city in Boston. Magic went to Hollywood because that was his style(Flashy). I mean Tim Tebow,, Johnny Manziel are glamorized because they were running white QBs. But when a Black QB sits in pocket to pass, everyone gets upset he doesn't run. I mean I feel like Jemele Hill is a racist and truly hates the whole white race. She feels like she got fired at ESPN because she was outspoken about her views

The combined timing of the height of social media promotability, Caitlin's timing of breaking NCAA scoring records of both women and men, and her being a fascinating 3 pt shooter is helping to drive her success. Without these 3 aspects, she would have quietly entered the WNBA.
