I noticed the Volunteer Host was standing right next to an open spot on one of the two horse shoe shaped docks. Wondering why you couldn't tie up there? Or at the non-pumpout mini dock across the water about 40-50 feet from the two main docks, why not tie up there and dinghy over to the main dock? I've seen them used by other boaters. As far as I know one cannot "reserve" space there in advance, it's first come first docked. It is a beautiful island with wonderful views, and a lovely sandy beach on one corner of the island.
