We own an Air B&B. We met with our Chamber rep last week and in conversation, I told her I was starting a new Woodworking business....She called me later that day and asked if I could make 50 items for welcome baskets for new arrivals to our city....networking with people works...Keep the content coming.
You hit the nail on the head. Passive marketing = passive results. Active marketing = active results. All 5 tips are good and with each market being different, the maker will have to figure out what works for them. I like free stuff and just networking. A chamber can be hit or miss.
Lead magnets work 100%. Chamber. . . not so much. All I ever got out of them was a never ending stream of unsolicited requests for donations and volunteering for one event or another.
