Another thing I noticed is when Mirabel drops the candle, Abuela's eyes doesn't reflect Mirabel's reflection but the candle showing that you even after all that happened her focus is still on the candle and the magic not on loosing her granddaughter
But in Abuela’s defense the candle was the thing that protected everyone losing the candle could mean losing her granddaughter and Pedro too she held on to the candle like a clutch cause it was the only thing that connected her to Pedro

I love the representation that Mirabel is the butterfly shown getting burned, she was yearning for the warmth and care of the thing everyone else adored (the candle and Abuela’s love) and ended up getting burned in the process being hurt physically and mentally by the thing that everyone else seems to love

People dont talk about how Antonio was Mirabels main reason for being happy. Sure she was happy, but he was a little bean that made the pain Alma gave her go away (kinda) thats the gifr little kids give people, ever lasting joy even in the darkest of days.
I simply loved it, you are the second person who puts a part of the Madrigal family to react to the villain Mirabel, now the next one should be the children of each Madrigal
