That's a year ago today lol
When this song came out I looked at my best friend and said “wow that’s kinda dark for ABR” and 6 months later I lost my step father to suicide and this song hit harder than anything else I’ve ever heard. Their music has helped me through it all. This one hits deep and true every time I play it. Check on your friends. Love you all

I really respect them. Constellations is still on of my favorite albums of all-time. They're never bad, but, I do think they've got to the point long ago, where all their shit sounds the same. It's boring now. Just my 2 cents. Brilliant musicians though.

About 3 weeks or so ago my *DaD* went into the hospital because he wasn't feeling well.
Turns out he had a rare form of leukemia.
They gave him two years to live.
Over the course of the next 24 hours it went from two years to live to six months to two weeks and then he finally passed about two days later.
Watching someone go from a completely healthy man to being bed ridden and deteriorating away like he did is something no one should ever have to go through.
I stand here writing this with tears in my eyes for so many reasons.

Jake could be that clean singer ! His cleans on the Chop Suey cover are really good (it was so good indeed, i thought this was a feature because i couldn't understand how he did not used them before !)

I disagree. What makes the cleans good is the fact ABR rarely uses them. Put them on every song and they lose their impact.

sounds amazing yes, but what sets ABR apart and one of the biggest reasons i love them is that the DON't do frequent clean vocals. They don't soften with time, that's part of what makes them so damn good!
Dustin's bass tone/playing almost make the bass a different instrument. By far the best mix I've heard in a while!

This video almost summarizes what I just went through with my dad just passing from cancer on Sept 27th. Most painful experience I've ever had to bare. I know in my heart without doubt that he's in heavenly places. He served the Lord with all of his heart. There's just always so much left unsaid when death comes knocking at the door. The gray space in between hits heavy. So forgive people while you still have a chance to and love them while they're still breathing on this planet. My mom passed away in 2017 from cancer. I was really close to her over the years. It's rough but I know she's always watching over me just like your dad is watching over you.

This shit hit me like a truck. An amazing song with amazing lyrics. My mom passed away on 7/9/20 and then my Grandmother on 2/19/21. I never resolved our issues before they died and they died thinking I hated them and now I've got to live with that regret for the rest of my life. It's important to make things right before our loved ones die.
Probably my favorite album announcement track I've ever heard from this band.
The speed is relentless, the vocals seem particularly vicious, and Jesse has a PERFECT feature.
That, and the video is absolutely devastating. The ending in particular is sobering.
I do have to say though..
Without Jesse's feature, this would be a bit too expected. The best part of their last two albums (in particular) was how they tried new things and didn't just try to make it Messengers 2.0.

It’s a rough ride through chemo, radiation, etc. just hoping for it to work. My family was hit when my father was diagnosed. Cherish every moment and the when they say that laughter is the best medicine, it’s true. It can make a sour moment in just a bit sweeter. This band got me through so many emotions when my dad passed. Praying for you, your family, and your father.
Lost my ma, pops, and granddad to cancer all by the time I was thirteen and watched all the horrors that come with the disease but the gentleman above me is absolutely correct that laughter is one of the best tools to utilize in keeping your shit together. Surround yourself with decent folks who have good senses of humor and listen to heavy fcking metal and you'll be ok. Best wishes to you and your pops.

ABR is one of the few bands I've heard recently that sound like they used to sound 10 years ago but somehow manage to make new music in their iconic style yet different from their old stuff. That fact alone is noteworthy. Nothing wrong with evolving out of one's old style and completely crushing the first impressions in a fans' heart 😅, but it's really impressive to stay this consistent

I can't even put into words how amazing this song is. It's got deathcore vibes mixed with Messengers and R&R while also being extremely progressive. You guys did an amazing job with maturing your sound while staying true to the style that everyone knows as August Burns Red.

The chorus is a progressive part, but I meant "progressive" in the sense that they are doing new things and continuing to grow as a band. I love pretty much all of their stuff, but this is the most solid I've heard from them when it comes to how it's written, in my opinion.

I probably could've worded it a little differently. I just love how smooth each part of the song transitions into the next part. I'm a guitar player myself, so I pay a lot of attention to how things are written and how well everything flows.
ABR is what bands should look to when evolving and refining their sound. So many bands go to complete shit *cough* Parkway Drive *cough* when they attempt it and either sell out or completely neuter the sound that made them famous in the first place.
