People seem to think that mini is a size. Actually Mini is a brand. They can do whatever they want. If Porsche makes crossovers or SUVs, why can't Mini do the same?
Great video and thank you so much for comparing all three generations 😃 I agree with your driving impressions and the satin/gold trim is incredible looking in person.
Thanks for showing these. I'm not impressed with the new Mini lineup for 2024 and the ONLY one I quite like is the smallest and that is because it still has the round headlight "eyes". However, I really despise its rear end with the triangular lights which upon asking the members of the mini owners club that I run, what they thought of them and nobody liked the rear end.
I have owned a R50, and 2 R60's now I drive the new SE.. I loved the Countryman because it could haul 4 people without being so large. I'm not digging the larger size. Its notable that its based off the BMW X1. Lets hope they finally get rid of the oil burning issues..
Love the big round touchscreen especially in "timeless" mode. I don't like the new gear selector toggle...I have a short, curved driveway that requires a few back and forths and that toggle is going to be a PITA.
Size comparison really shows how far MINI has gone away from being MINI. Showing it next to an R60 really does it for me! May as well remove the MINI badge and throw a BMW badge on it. MINIs are supposed to be small. It's IN THE NAME! Interior is cool, but until it's put into a much smaller package, I'll keep my F60!
2025 Mini Countryman is mad cool but it would probably be a problem parking in a city where cars park bumper to bumper if you backed up with someone that has a grilled then it’s done
I don't get the idea of ever bigger mini's.... the whole point on the car was that is was small ... it's what the name of the car literally meant... now we have the U25 based countryman mini that's 6cm longer than a Range Rover Evoque! Yes that right ... a mini is longer than evoke! Its only 3cm lower too, insane. The new countryman is a full 1.4m longer!, 22 cm taller and 64 cm wider than the original classic mini, how a car called a mini has become so f***ing massive. It is idiotic
I like my 2017 clubman S, but if mini keeps going this way(bigger and bigger) by the time I'm ready for another car I may go nissan or Subaru unfortunately. BMW NEEDS TO TO BETTER BY MINI
I HATE the new countryman. And I HATE what mini is headed toward… All models aren’t even Mini anymore. They just keep getting bigger and bigger. So sad
Great side by side comparison. Nice to see your first driving impressions! I test drove the 2nd gen a few months ago and I felt it was too small for me (6ft4ins). I’m test driving the U25 Countryman S in 2 days time. Can’t wait!
@@da_great_mogul well, the Countryman S really impressed me today. It drove great, feels really solid, fits me perfectly and the interior looks amazing in reality. The sport seats are super comfortable and supportive. I have an order in now.
Really enjoyed the comparison. Just a small note for feedback..loose the background clubbing music. It was distracting and annoying.
Yeah the background music was too distracting

Nice video, straight forward showing the differences. I like the new dash with a HUD it looks great. Nice and clean dash.
Thanks.

07:01 it would have been some youtube clip if he had aquaplaned off the road into about 20 parked cars here.
Thanks so much for this helpful review. I have the new one ordered in JCW, should be here in 3 months! Thank you!

I owned the R60, in my opinion the best looking one. Really don’t like the new one.

Hello, do you know the exact color name of the F60 ? Is it the Moonwalk Grey or Melting Silver III ?
Melting silver mettalic

Are you in UK? The JCW is only £2000 more.
@@da_great_mogul I’m in the US and the JCW Countryman starts around $8000 more
@@angusmacdonald5300 Your S is also a higher output than ours in UK.

'25 needs ventilated seats. esp for places like, AZ, FL...
The new one looks like a Kia or Hyundai.
BMW X1 is a better comparison
Yup, looks like a Kia EV9. Terrible
I just to drive a new Countryman S All4. Weird.
Fun interior, heavy feeling car.
