Does Harry not realise that Royal Family are funded by British taxes? If you quit your job they stop paying for your expensive lifestyle. To be fair hes still very wealthy and can afford to hire his own bodyguards. Its not fair to expect the Brits to keep funding their expensive lifestyle. Most people understand that if you quit your job, they stop paying you. The media are rarely kind to the Royals, its strange that Megan thought she was walking into a Disney movie.
Agree. Many working members of the royal family do not get 24/7 security, as a non-working member why should he expect security costs to be met by the tax payer, on top of which the security bill for living in another country would be enormous as British security officers would have to be flown in on shifts, separated from family etc. Absolute nonsense and unbelievably naiive of them both to expect the public to continue paying, when let's face it they have considerably more money than most.
The RF all generate incalculable sums for the UK in tangible currency and in intangible currency in the allure of the Kingdom. They pay for themselves in truth. That aside, I know the answer to this one. He's a SENIOR royal which is to say in line for the throne. Heir and a spare and all that. He's a target for sure. You would have thought they would have learned by what happened to Diana.
Having been in a relationship with a narcissist I can't help but see him in Meghan. Harry has been convinced he was trapped, educated about his privilege and his unconscious bias and has been successfully separated from his friends, his family, his job and his country and is entirely emotionally dependent on Meghan. There is history of discarding husbands, friends and family when it suits - and it is never her fault. Actors are not generally known for being emotionally well balanced - but they do love attention. Threats of suicide, deliberate evocation of Harry's mother, zeroing in on Harry's vulnerability (narcissists are good at spotting your weak spot) are how she gets her 'supply' from Harry. She claims to be a strong empowered woman but then tries to elicit sympathy by being a victim who wasn't supported and crumbles after just a few months in the job so her self image is at odds with reality. She cannot deal with criticism and has zero resilience. The interview itself I noted that most of it is completely focused on her, he joins later like a secondary figure. When he says something off script she interrupts him. Doing an interview like that was completely unnecessary and designed to deliberately put a bomb under the royal family. They said the press was the problem but spent the interview slagging off Harry's family. The arrogance of this and complete lack of concern for the consequences is staggering. It just screams narcissist to me.
I think you nailed it. Classic narcissistic control. I've always felt that Harry was lost. A 'strong' person came along, beautiful, charming and showed him a way to escape. He's justifying it through 'mistreatment' but whenever he talks about it, he seems muddled and unclear.
Two things people won't pick apart if you say it: 1. I am suicidal. 2. I was discriminated against. Even stateside, racism is hard to prove. The burden is on the 'victim' and it's gotta be more than just what you perceived as a slight. People think about suicide more often when they are depressed, but few go on television and so flawlessly discuss it as if were a fleeting, momentary thing. No way she was that level of depressed and snapped back to being a strong accomplished woman who will keep calm and carry on while suing the media and relocating her family. She played Harry and guilted him into fearing she would hurt herself or the media would harm her. Harry is just easy bait. Poor thing. He needs someone to love him for him.

Thank you! Here's my thoughts: 1) Her not googling him: I don't buy it. She comes across as way to controlling to not do that. In fact, I think rather the opposite is true and she googled him extensively. But surely she didn't google how the Royals work, because she think she's smart enough to figure that out herself. 2) She didn't make Kate cry: I don't buy it either. I think she's projecting here. And as you've pointed out, Kate could have cried in private. Who is she to know? Oh right, she's a narcissist, she knows EVERYTHING. The smile there really got me. 3) Being cut off financially: Didn't they state that they wanted to be financially independent? I think they really lack a sense of how that must sound to the average person if you have an inheritage of millions of pounds and a lot of power and complain about being cut off financially. Really? Of course, they need more money for security and such than someone like me does, but then again they have a lot more opportunies than me. I surely couldn't secure a million dollar Netflix deal ;) 4) The baby's skin color: I believe something to that extent was said. It's interesting how she mixed that together with her being pregnant and the discussions about the baby not getting titles while he said it was more in the beginning of their relationship and unspecific. Now, the context is missing here, so it can't be assumed whether the comment was racist or not. It could have just been a question out of curiosity, who knows? He surely was upset, but he doesn't seem to have tried to resolve that issue with the person who said it. 5) The victim narrative: I found that interesting too that everything they did was right or at most cutely naive, but everyone else has failed them. And she obviously has a history of this looking at how things are with her own family. Not saying that they are all saints, but there's a pattern with being the victim and cutting off people. And I undoubtely believe her that she always feels wronged by everyone... I have such people in my own family... it must be a tough life. But when it's always everyone else's fault, maaaybe you should at least try to take a look in the mirror. 6) Speaking of her own family: They were highly critized for speaking to the press about private matters. Now the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it? 7) To me this is a study of narcissism: Someone with a history of cutting people off (friends, ex-husband, family) rushes into a relationship and subsequently into marriage with a guy, has a baby quick, isolates him from his friends, family, country, even continent, and portrays herself as the victim of EVERYONE. Like I said, I grew up with narcissists and I suspected her from the beginning to be one. You just instinctively catch it. And she keeps proving my point with the things she does and says. She'll likely break up with him at some point and of course it'll be his fault because he didn't support her enough. He'll be in for a rough awakening. You feel like shit when you realize you've become the victim of narcissistic abuse and it takes years and often therapy to recover from that. And they also have children, so he's in for a ride... Good luck to him and the kids, they need it.

Oprah was just pandering to Meghan; the interview has not a hint of fairness. However, Meghan was 'working' Oprah from the moment she invited her to her wedding when she hardly knew the woman; same can be said for the Clooneys.
“ His family cutting them off from money “ is a disgrace, not because they did it but because he failed to tell the truth that the money he was cut off from was the public purse, the United Kingdom’s tax payers money. These two grifters wanted to remain on the civil list and do no work for it.
As you say the money came from the taxpayers in return for the duties they perform. To expect us to continue to pay after they had stepped down is tantamount to me complaining that my employer no longer pays my salary after I've resigned. Furthermore, it is difficult to feel sorry for someone of 36 who only has his Mother's millions and his Greatgrandmother's millions together with whatever money Meghan had. To expect anyone to pay for their security other than themselves is incredible, would Oprah expect someone else to pay for her security. The whole thing is a pathetic whingefest at a time when people have lost jobs and are struggling to put food on the table. Unbelievable.

I want to point out something she claimed being false and also to qualify it with her "career" statement. She claims she was given no help, however it is well known there were offers from the late Queen for help via Sophie and also her advisor Samantha Cohen, as well as a multi paged detailed dossier to ease her way into Royal life, which she either dismissed, ignored or drove to resign. I question how she learned her lines in suits? Did she make them up? No she was given a script from her bosses who told her " this is what you will say this week" Something she refused to do as a Royal in her "lifelong" pledge, which btw only lasted for 72 OFFICIAL days and less than 3 years!

The fact that Harry wants to be seen as an ordinary guy and Meghan’s wearing a $5,000 dress is quite a contrast! The fact that Meghan acts like this is the first time that Meghan ever heard that this was her plan all along to leave the Royals is unbelievable!
What is funny, the Queen has some of the best doctors at.hand But meghan chose to not use them? Hhmm theres a reason why all this secrecy.. m herself said when they were talking to the media, that he had grown in just 2 weeks? When he was supposedly born 3 days before..
Thing is Megan has been put on a proverbial pedestal her whole life, by her mum her friends her ex husband and now her new husband, the royal family aren't dancing to her tune and she don't like it, simple as that, classic case of throwing her toys out the pram
For the longest time I didn’t even know she was black or part black, so there is a lack of racial importance to my perception of this whole soap opera.

EXACTLY. If she had never brought her mom out, to show her off,( and no one has seen her since) no one woud have guessed she had any black heritage. She as white as I am.
I cant stand Meghan - and it has nothing to do with her ethnicity! In the beginning - I was excited for them ... but then SHE started with the victimhood narrative - SHE was the one bullying RF staff, SHE was being the difficult one!! She also feeds Harrys insecurities instead of helping him mend issues with his family - she has distanced him from his - just like she did with her own! She is isolating him just like abusive narcissists do.
Exactly what I believe also! She’s not close with her family and now she’s separated him from his too. Meghan wants to always be the center of attention and I don’t believe she never goggled Harry at anytime.

Thirty six year old multi-millionaire Harry was ‘literally cut off financially’ she had to somehow scrape together 11 million to buy his 15 bedroom mansion. My heart bleeds.
It is interesting that this panel brought up the money issue. That people can be unhappy, have mental struggles etc and be rich. Do think they play into the victimhood narrative and them against the world. It's what they're going with. No ownership for any part they played in this falling out with his family.
I think it's interesting that at the start Meghan talks about having to give up her career while near the end Harry talks about how the family wanted her to continue acting...
She spent too much on private trips, wardrobe, not interested in working as a royal. She had only worked a total of 73 days, spent 1 million per year on wardrobe. made 2 private trips and 1 honeymoon in 2018 and 4 private trips in 2019. The family is not wrong in asking her to carry on since her interest was never to work as royal.
Even if there was a discussion about what color Archie's skin/hair color would be, it doesn't mean it was brought up because anyone is a racist. I'm Finnish/Swedish and when I was pregnant with my son, my sister and I had a conversation about whether my son would have fair skin and blue eyes like me or if he'd take after his father who is Native American. Obviously this conversation had nothing to do with racism, it was plain curiosity. I don't believe anything Meghan or Harry have to say. They've been caught lying about everything including a high-speed car chase through Manhattan of all places. Giving this interview while the Queens' husband was dying was very calculated and callous, in my opinion. As for Oprah, I've lost any respect I had for her when she did this bs interview.
Same thing happened with me. My husband is Mexican and I'm of Scottish/Irish descent complete with green eyes and red hair! My daughter has red hair, blue eyes, and very fair skin. My son has blue eyes, brown hair and medium toned skin that turns very brown in the summer! No one was racist, just curious about what the mix would look like!
Really depends on the intent. I think a conversation about skin colour or looks cld definitely be racist depending on how it is framed. "I wonder who the baby will take after in its colouring" vs. "Have you thought about what it will be like if the baby has dark skin."
I don't see why that is so weird for people. All you'd get online is all this noise. You would want to get to know the real person and hope that, if you are that person, someone gives you the chance to tell your own life story and not read 8 billion opinions online.

Used to like Oprah, but lost total respect for her in recent years, especially after the Haz/MEEgain interview. She basically let them both spew their crap without asking any probing or hard questions. Totally biased interview, and totally heartless timing, knowing that Harry's grandfather was gravely ill and what a difficult time it was for the elderly queen. Complete greed and selfishness!!
It is my belief that Oprah is bankrolling Meghan and Harry's pr. She did this interview, her henchwoman Gayle always defends them on CBS, and Sharon Osborne got fired from a CBS talk show, The Talk, after she defended Piers Morgan for speaking out against Meghan. This is an orchestrated campaign against the British royal family. I don't know what Oprah gets out of it but she is definitely involved.
@@jazzyjtalks2 the baby can't even walk. I'm pretty sure he's quite secure for now. Also, there are plenty of other junior royal members who also got their security pulled - best case in example are the princess Eugenie & princess Beatrice. Prince Charles removed their security many years ago after they turned adult to reduce the monarchy's running costs. Both Harry & Meghan have their own money but don't want to use it to pay for their own security. I'm guessing this is the reason Charles refused to take Harry's calls - my parent's would cut me off too if I keep going after them for money. And this shouldn't be new information to either Harry & Meghan - Charles's monarchy slimming plans are in the talks for many years, way before Meghan came into the picture. If Harry & Meghan remained working royal, Archie would automatically receive the security/protection until he is an adult - exactly like Eugenie & Beatrice. The prince title has absolutely no relation to Archie's protection. It's his parent's problem that they decide to resign and therefore give up the benefit of free security. Which company in this world is willing to continue your benefits if you resign?
Charles even gave them 2.5 million to pay for security when they were in Canada. Also the title Prince is only for the Children and grandchildren of the Monarch not great grandchildren. When the Queen passes then Meghans and Harrys children could get the titles they wanted.

I think Meghan tried the classic narcicist moves on Kate but it wasn't working because Kate follows protocol to a T and is always super nice and diplomatic which narcs won't like because it means they don't seek to get close in gossip, in hanging out, in sharing things. So, I think Meghan tried to mimic Kate and then it became a battle of who could be the most royal. I think kate removed herself to cry when the journalist saw her then crying and meghan knowing this blow up with kate would be bad then cried to manipulate everyone who heard. Now Kate, understanding that meghan must be nervous took flowers and a card to meghan the morning after. Meghan answered the door. Kate apologised and gave the flowers and card. Meghan slammed the door in her face. A staff member said meghan threw the flowers and card in the bin. Meghan is not who she pretends to be. she is a master manipulator and Harry is in lust and angry at his family because of his mother. This pairing is a disaster for the Royals because now we have a narcicist fueling the fire of a rogue Prince fighting for the vindication of his hard done by dead mother and now his wife. Expect these stories to be the basis of their earnings from now on. This is the plan. That's why they announced after the oprah interview - that's the last word on it. Nope - that was them prematurely closing the topic on purpose without the other side getting to respond so that when they do respond, it's classed as opening a new chapter. Very manipulating and now Harry is learning how to be a narcicist from meghan.
I am not sure. I thought it simply means that it was not planned. Thank you! Oprah always goes over all questions with guests prior to taping. The purpose of the interview, she said herself, was to find out why they left the royal family. What did she expect? She knew it would be salacious and she knew EXACTLY the day that interview would air too, on Commonwealth Day, no less, a day so very important to Her Majesty. When she accused "someone" in the RF of being a racist, that painted the entire RF with the same brush and caused so much stress and misery to Her Majesty, also Prince Philip was still very ill in the hospital and Oprah knew that too. Now she's trying to weasel her way out of her complicity but Oprah knew what she was doing, IMO. That interview changed everything and it hurt Her Majesty very deeply. Also Harry and Meghan "declined" to visit Prince Philip in the hospital and were in London for four days before Her Majesty passed, and also "declined" to go and see her too when they were invited. It was a coincidence they were in the UK when the Queen passed, as they were there for Meghan to give that narcissistic speech at that Summit when she had the gall to compare herself to Nelson Mandela!!! I hope that this family can be repaired. Prince Harry will always miss his family no matter what, and his home. However, he very much loves his wife and son, with a daughter on the way and he will support his family. He empathetically likens his wife's treatment to his mothers. On top of that King George's passing was quite a shock to her and she stated that she wasnt quite well versed in how to act out her role. It's surely a very different world to experience. I can understand it must have been very daunting for Meghan. Having said that, it is to be expected that you must have a certain amount of humility entering into such a life and that's something she wasnt quite prepared for or accustomed to. It is all about money, Harry said, "In the beginning... there was no money for her". Princess Anne is right, no one in the family spent 1 million pounds in 1 year just on wardrobe and she did that for 2 years. To put it in perspective, Kate spent 35,000 pounds on wardrobe in her first year. Out of her 559 or 599 days as Royal, MM only worked for 73 days. Invited 65 friends to the palace, assume 2 friends come at a time, that's 33 visits which is almost half of her working days. She was so busy that she rejected Doria's visit.

People think about suicide more often when they are depressed, but few go on television and so flawlessly discuss it as if were a fleeting, momentary thing. Here's my thoughts:
1) Her not googling him: I don't buy it.
I surely couldn't secure a million dollar Netflix deal ;)
4) The baby's skin color: I believe something to that extent was said.

To expect us to continue to pay after they had stepped down is tantamount to me complaining that my employer no longer pays my salary after I've resigned. To expect anyone to pay for their security other than themselves is incredible, would Oprah expect someone else to pay for her security.
Same thought - My husband is Puerto Rican and I'm close to as Scandinavian as they come. Nobody's racist for wondering what the baby will look like.
Really depends on the intent. I think a conversation about skin colour or looks cld definitely be racist depending on how it is framed. "I wonder who the baby will take after in its colouring" vs. "Have you thought about what it will be like if the baby has dark skin."
"I never looked up my husband online". Sure you didn't, Meghan. *wink, wink* And from there it snowballed. All three are full of it.
I don't see why that is so weird for people. All you'd get online is all this noise. You would want to get to know the real person and hope that, if you are that person, someone gives you the chance to tell your own life story and not read 8 billion opinions online.

My mom is white and my father was a very dark Cuban. My mother and my grandmother discussed how dark my brothers and I would be when she was pregnant. It's normal to wonder what a baby will look like in any circumstances. Mixed race just adds a little extra curiosity. It doesn't mean anyone dislikes the skin color. It's just naturally curiosity. I have very dark eyes and black hair. My ex husband had silver blue eyes and blonde hair. We naturally wondered what coloring our babies would have.
I do agree it may have been asked out of curiosity. There is some missing information. They probably asked out of curiosity. but the Royal Family is a known racist institution so who knows.
Are you Black? The question should have never been asked. Seeing as Megan is biracial herself so one would think her children would be her skin tone.
We do that too, it's human curiosity to wonder how a child will turn out. Why can't we be real without everyone jumping to conclusions ?

I think Harry wants to punish him..

@@iamproffesionaltotally6397 yeah, I'm not sure. Honestly, don't understand this kind of behavior. As bad as my family issues have been, I've never wanted to air it out for anyone to see let alone the whole world. Nothing scarier on earth than overly privileged, pampered, powerful people trying so hard to be victims.
They are muddle with politics trying to censor people who call them out 🙄
I think Meghan tried the classic narcicist moves on Kate but it wasn't working because Kate follows protocol to a T and is always super nice and diplomatic which narcs won't like because it means they don't seek to get close in gossip, in hanging out, in sharing things.
Agree, I think the dynamics of their relationship is, she makes the bullets and he fires them.
Wow, exactly perfectly said!!
Agree, possibly that's the plan
nail on the head!
Whoa you described their situation perfectly.
Chase “If something’s not part of the plan, you would need to have a plan” LOVE it!
yeah and then Oprah rushes in to remind them how they don't have a plan :))))))))
Genius
I am not sure. I thought it simply means that it was not planned. If I don't have a dietary plan,, then someone accusing me of wanting to eat icecream and me saying: hey, it wasn't in the plan won't really mean I sm stupid or lying. It was not contradictory. Just sloppy.
I don't think they made a rational, strategic plan considering all the factors with an execution and financial plan to match it. But then, neither of them learned economics or accounting or any of that sort.
There was a point in my life when I just stood up and left, but I didn't have msny factors to consider. And the ones that would have been wise to think about dwarved in front of the reasons why I left.
I am not saying the pair is good or bad or stupid or smart, merely that the wording can simply be sloppy instead of Freudean.
I think they are talking about the plan of being royal, in the beginning she’s says that the plan was to do that and she wrote the letters to “use her “ and she was there for them and then they cut them off and they had no alternative plan
Correct
I’ve never seen Oprah do such a shallow, arranged interview. She looked ridiculous!
She missed opportunities throughout the interview. She should ask follow up questions, but she did not. Oprah dropped the ball on this interview.
Megan seems like a gold digger now where would she have got without snagging a young dumb royal? Yea i think shes a preditor gold digger. Isnt she alot older than Harry? Maybe 40 45?
They must've given her the questions to ask with only questions that make the Royal family look bad.
@Karen Baird :) I believe that Oprah had started to do this with Wade Robinson's interview about MJ, it's obvious that they were lying now we can listen to Michael Jackson here in Canada again!! I don't trust Oprah at all anymore ‼️❤🇨🇦.
Ugh.
You can tell when Meghan is lying when her lips move!
Before Megan, you see a happy smiling, and laughing Harry everywhere. Now he hardly ever smiles but looks broken inside and out. When the honeymoon is over and he sees what everyone else sees then he will get it.
Harry is broken because his Royal Snobby family didn't support him. Because, he chosen a black American divorced woman... The Firm, made them feel low and degraded. Harry is a free rebel. He opened his eyes and saw reality... Harry and Meghan are much more popular than William and Kate.
What does everyone see???

Actually no, Harry was very vocal about his dislike of the media and of England long before Meghan was around. He said he didn't like England and his greatest escape was the military.
Kate and William took 8 years, that's why William told Harry they were moving too fast. Instead of appreciating the advice, those 2 brats turned around and bite.

I agree. Harry knows that it takes a lot of learning to be a Royal. And that worked for Catherine because she learned how to do her job and create a better rapport to the family. And William knows that because their mother also got engaged really fast. William is just protecting his brother. Its probably not telling him not to marry MM but to make sure there is enough preparation time to learn things and have classes for the complex role.
I agree. But in their defense, if they wanted kids they needed to get married ASAP before her fertility window closed. Meghan will be 40 when their second child is delivered.
This woman is so into herself. It's embarrassing to watch.

Excellent point!
The whole country did and paid for the wedding to boot. She did nothing...then buggered off.
You’re using inaccurate language. She said her issues were with the institution. Is the institution the family? Or are they separate entities within the monarchy? She never said everyone was against her. You made that up on your own.
Meghans a wierdo.

Narcissist all the way. She thought being a princess would increase her status. When she realized she had to give up control of her life and Harry's and she was a little fish in a big pond, nope. Back to the US, big fish now and cut off Harry from his family. She is back in control.

Harry lost everything except Archie, and Meghan gained everything. Harry does not look happy if you look at him from 5 years ago
Yes indeed! I know a person that looks exactly like him trying to keep his family even he knows that the wife is taking too much advantage of him and not really love him since it’s always to be her that he needs to follow! Just keeps manipulating him ‘til he died! So sad 😞
He looks like all this has been rough for him. I get the impression in this interview that there is some kind of regret here.
I hope that this family can be repaired. Prince Harry will always miss his family no matter what, and his home. However, he very much loves his wife and son, with a daughter on the way and he will support his family. He empathetically likens his wife's treatment to his mothers. If you loved the Prince you would support his choices not turn on her. Why also is everyone so mean about it? I think people should clear their minds and thoughts and say, I will just support him. Finally, the press just needs to find something else to talk about.
I don't think Harry is happy. He lost his mum years back then these days the living father and brother after marrying Meghan who is manipulating him.
He hasn't lost Archie....yet. When it suits her and she finds a better position or another man he will be the target of her accusations and after another shit show "interview" with Oprah he may very well loose Archie and the girl they are expecting. That is the kind of behavior she has demonstrated so far. However that's on him, he is old enough to be held responsible for making this mess, dragging a narcissist and an opportunist into the family only to destroy them and isolate him. He's not very bright it seems...
Why can't she just admit that, "I didn't know it was gonna be that hard to be a princess and I couldn't handle it, I'm sorry" that would be more likable and tbh understandable, coz it's absolutely not easy.
I do agree with your sentiment but she's never been a princess she was the Dutchess of Essex before they bailed. I wish people would stop guessing at the protocols surrounding titles. This isn't hans christian anderson's idea of royalty, it's the real deal.
That would have been an honest and honourable thing to do, indeed. And we would have forgiven her and accepted she just couldn't cope - we, the commoners, would never know what it's like to be a royal. It's this deception, PR stunt, blaming everyone else but themselves and playing victim that really upset us after we welcomed her with open arms.
@@angsana2800depending on your level of interest, If you research the royal families institutions and protocols you can find out very much what it is to be a royal. Imagine Prince Charles. He's 72 years old and he has trained and been educated how to be King most of his life, with his mother being an exemplary example, his entire life; and yet he may never be King. It's doubtful, mind you, considering how old and cognitive his parents are but he will surely have a relatively shortlived reign.
@@StuartwasDrinkell Sure, one can research to have certain level of understanding what it must be like. I still don't think that is same as actually experiencing life as a royal. All I wish was Meghan being honest, as the original post said above. I think we would have been a lot more sympathetic if that was the case.
@@angsana2800 oh yeah for sure, i agree, the real experience has no comparison but what we can learn is what is expected of each member of the family. We only have to look at the queen, until she was 11 she had no expectation of becoming queen. So her preparation started late. Unfortunately, the general perception, is that her current strategy is totally lacking in any humility or confidentiality. It's definitely a misstep and seemingly makes any chance of reconciliation unthinkable. Talk about burning bridges!
If this is not a gold-digger, what is?
Well said!

@Honey Flower Well that's to give her a more credible profile, do you really think she had 5 million? And what's 5 million to someone who obviously spent more than she can afford? @Honey Flower Haven't we spoke enough yesterday? Why are you hunting me down again? Didn't you said to stop? OMFG!
Yes, in the beginning they were never going to pay her security. Catherine didn’t get any security until her & William were engaged. She had 10 years of her & her family being hounded by the press. But Meghan was busy setting Harry up as the saviour, she was “vulnerable” and needed protection.
