Wow! I think this sermon provided the definitive answer to something I’ve been praying about for two years! As always, this is a challenging message, and also much appreciated!

Excellent sermon. Im starting to think Matt's a Calvanist post millennial theonomist. The big question I have with Torah obedience is in regard to dietary, rest day(s), and biblical bbq's (feasts). Most churches would say they keep the Law, both the 10 commandments, and vast portions on the civil Torah as well. As a postmillennialist myself, I know that God will have a pure church to return to at the second coming, however, what are we to do with fellow brothers and sisters that call "The Lord's Day," or "the 8th day" Sabbath especially when Paul says they are shadows of Christ? What about dietary restrictions? Do we insult our "Christian family" by telling them God forbids us to eat their honey roasted ham they spent all day roasting for fellowship with you? What about Christmas? A man created holiday about the birth of our King. One could say the same of Purim and Hanukkah which doesn't traditionally have anything to do with Christ. I love my pipe hitting Reformed church and my Spiritual family. I've learned more about my King in the past 2 months, than I have from spending 2 years in the HRM. I do believe that someday all churches will be Torah observant, but what do we do now? Do we have fellowship with the whole body, or do we divide Christ's body for the sake Torah? Not being argumentative here, I'm seeking truth and not wanting to be a stumbling block to any brother or sister who has the same Spirit given by God.

David Hilt I’ve had the same thought process. I believe however the spirit leads you. There are some good Sunday churches and some legalistic Sabbath churches. It’s hard sometimes. It may not hurt to go to both. Or fellowship with a Torah observant church for HolyDays and then go to a Sunday church for the fellowship. I really don’t know. I know people would say it’s a clear answer but it’s not. There are some Sunday church people with far great faith, grace, than Torah observers. They believe in the saving blood of Christ and God can still transform their hearts.
I wish there was a clear black and white answer, however just allow the Holy Spirit to lead you. You never know what seeds your planting by staying where you are at the moment.
