Did you replace the gas pressurized shocks back there first? I thought it was my motor too at 90K, but those gas shocks do most of the lifting on mine and for $40 it was like brand new. I did have a motor replacement at 40K under warranty, but that was over 10 years ago.
The motor was the problem, electromagnetic clutch wore out to be precise. I will show in a future video what happens on the old style motor (plastic case) . Putting in the updated 2008+ model solved all the issues and it is stronger so less likely to wear the clutch.
theres a lot of settings in the bolts inside the jam and also the stopper both at the backglass and at the bumper. Theres even little lines to keep track of your adjustment but that warrants a vdeo of it's own
@@Nordic_Mechanic hey bud I’ve seen you post on Audi world, but I had a quick question maybe you can help. I tried using me ami cable from my A8 with Bluetooth adapter, that I regularly use , and connected to the S8 and the Bluetooth doesn’t even light up , it doesn’t sense anything anything
@@christian_urocar First time in the S8 then maybe the ami port isnt powered. Tough guess without probing and checking things. What your specific ami bluetooth adapter ?

Get the stronger motor and wave your boot lid problems away. Also make sure your cylinders are good and strong

How did unloosen the bolts, was it 100% by hand or did u use a wrench? If so whaf wrench did you use and also did you have to disconnect the battery?
standard issue 13 mm . Not too too tight. No battery disconnection.
Hello. Does the trunk still open and close (by hand) if I completly remove this motor?
Yes. even the soft close motor still continues to work independantly
How do you get the trunk aligned ?? mine Is like yours one side isn’t aligned
