jannáte uyámiṅ ċum úne diidáar uyám jáar
śurayeéśiṅ uyóon ċum úne śurayaár uyám jáar
khot raṅ ráṅe dunyáwlo be daltáśko apáana
daltáśkuwe daltás śúle sarkáar uyám jáar
altúlikiye doostíye gáne daanáa atéćaybay
c̣háa wafáa żúwas yáari wafaadáar uyám jáar
saás héeśi fidáa úne gáne jáa as ke uyám jií
qurbáan amánas úne gáne sad báar uyám jáar
Sultan śahinśáa nasíir iné ċonóṅuwe ċon
leykín śúle bar wahdáte asráar uyám jáar
English Translation;
*Jannate uyamin cum une didar uyam jaar
Surayeesin uyon cum une surayaar uyam jaa
-Over the pleasures of paradise, your vision is sweeter to me;
Over every other happiness, the happiness you give me is the sweetest
*Altulkiye duustiye gane daanaa atecay bay
Chaa wafaa zuwas yaar-i wafaa-dar uyam jaar
-The wise do not need friendships of two days
Over transience, my beloved’s loyalty is comforting to me
*Khot ran rane dunyaw lo be daldasko apaana
Daltaskuwe daltas sule sarkaar uyam jaar
-In this colourful world, there’s no lack of beautiful people
But among all the world’s beauties, my beloved shines through to me
*Saas heesi fidaa une gane jaa as ke uyam jii
Qurbaan amanas une gane sad baar uyam jaar
-May my heart and soul be sacrificed for you a thousand times
To be sacrificed for you again and again is but sweet to me
*Sultan sahinsaa, Nasiir ine cononuwe con
Leekin sule bar wahdate israar uyam jaar
-Sultan is the King of kings; Nasir is the slave of his slaves
Alas, the secrets of love’s union are sweeter to me than status
