Its never been about critics gimmicks or who the greatest its always been about love and hate now lemme say I'm the biggest hater. I look at these two track records and honest to god I think anyone who see's competition between the two is just someone falling for the scam. Just imo though.

Kendrick is way out of his league if we're talking hip-hop, obviously he would get destroyed but Kdot did destroy him completely, if kendrick drops another one and I feel like he might do it after a week or 2 just to go like are you back from your vacation, did you rest well, let me finish you of type of petty sht, I don't see drake getting back to business like he used too, I really think kdot ushered in a new era.
@@ismo9529 Yea It truly feels like a hip hop renaissance and I can understand why people like family matters and push ups, especially his fans, but to me it just can't really hold a candle and with the frequency that kendrick dropped his music you can tell he's just having fun with the guy. I'm biased tho I'll admit that I'll never bop a drake song so I'm not impressed if drake can tell a couple of jokes. I'm not saying your standards are low with this please trust but I think the standards surrounding drakes music and what determines if you like it or not are extremely low and he's done exceptionally well selling that to his audience. I cant help but feel this whole beef is/was pointless.
Drake fans do not care about battle raps. This is why his disses are streaming lower than his regular tracks and Kendrick's disses.
Kendrick's fans will think he won no matter the outcome. And nothing Kendrick says will land with Drake fans because, once again, they dont care about battle raps so any possible reputational damage is rendered moot.
And finally, almost everything each person said was speculation or rumor. So where does that even leave you? No one being honest will rank either of these songs highly within thr greater context of each artist's catalogue.
And now someone has been shot over the whole thing. It feels totally idiotic.
Shooting was related to cashxo and OvO beef, not this.
It was fun until both Drake and Kendrick Lamar started with claims that have zero proof

@AP-o2 I don't know about that, kendricks claims have almost all been proven, only the kid and I wouldn't want her to get in this beef, but the ovo sa cases is true, drake having fake abs is true, drake having at least pdf tendencies is true, plenty of stories of him chilling with girls he really shouldn't be chilling with, where smoke is, is fire. And everything drake said you can find in kendricks album, and even then he switched things up or tried to switch the narrative kendrick put in his album mr moral, the difference is are we going to respect the person who admits his mistakes and tries to improve or are we going to keep this weird celebrity worshipping and ignore drake until he really gets caught.
i honestly *mostly* agree with you, but as someone else pointed out, a looooot of weirdo behavior on drake’s part has been dragged out into the open as a result of this beef. i do think it may have been a step too far to label him a pdf file outright, but it’s hard not to look at him as a groomer/manipulator/abuser when you look at his relationships with hailey beiber and bella harris, baka’s weird case, his SA settlement, his “friendships” with millie bobby and billie eilish, the incident with the 17 yr old on stage etc.
whether or not kendrick physically abused whitney is still a rumor, but kendrick’s fully admitted to emotionally abusing whitney on MM&TBS. he has taken responsibility for that publicly, and privately they’ve worked past that. i respect kendrick more for addressing his shitty behavior, while drake continues to deflect and deny, kind of proving kendrick’s point.
i will say that i lost a bit of respect for kendrick because he in effect stooped to drake’s level. what i mean is, if kendrick has legitimate concerns that drake and baka are running a trafficking ring out of drake’s mansion (which diddy, r kelly, epstein etc. show is not outside of the realm of possibility), i feel like something that serious shouldn’t be used as fodder in a rap beef. in that case, there would be actual victims implicated. i’m not surprised drake would use something as serious as spousal abuse as ammo in a rap beef, but i didn’t expect that from kendrick.
