  • Makro Multi Kruzer Field Test (note this is not a production machine, and they will most definitely have some tweaks in the production units). Note that I was not paid to endorse or test this detector and the views provided in the video are strictly my own.

    Their industry leading customer service alone is a selling point! Faulty coil? They had me one in 7 days without having to send mine in! Bought an R2 and wasn't aware of the free Makro pointer promotion. Contacted them and they had a US distributor send me one. They didn't hassle me with even showing an invoice! Good luck with an Equinox. I've heard Minelab promises they'll be better this time around. LOL

      I wish I'd got that on video too, but wasn't planning to record at night. I'm still testing the unit, and will continue to release Kruzer videos. Now that I know what silver sounds like on this detector, it's a pretty unmistakable tone, so I'll make sure the record the targets before dug. Thanks for watching!

    I really appreciate you going through the screen options there, Glad I came across your vid!
    I've been running the R1 now for bout year & half,(and technically on my 2nd machine-as I have 2 now),
    My next upgrade I wanted to safely get in water more since there's a ton of that in my area.
    Was strongly leaning towards MX Sport for last year but now that this is close, I'll obviously have to seriously look at it,(especially since I'm familiar with brand, customer service, etc.)
    I think you may have already answered couple things in this vid but,
    1-No LED light on front correct?
    2-Is that essentially the same Coil they're using on the Racers?
    Only other thing I'm hoping is they back-light the buttons but kind of doubting that'll happen on this one.
    Again, Very glad I found your vid here, Only guy in our club who runs Makro so still kinda like show'in they Do Work!:)

    • @CalCobra
      @CalCobra  6 років тому +1

      No LED headlight. It's a similar 11" DD as the Racers and Impact (it's a good coil). I think it may actually use the same coils as the Impact. I believe the buttons will change, at least the color, as that's been one of the feedbacks the field testers have all provided, and the great thing about Makro/Nokta is that they do listen to their customer needs. I'll be posting more Multi Kruzer videos in February as I get to some other sites to detect, and do a bit of live signal comparisons with other machines and more live digs. Thanks for watching!

      Dirk.hands down the Nokta Impact was is a top machine in the UK.i worked on many contaminated sites.its cracking machine.I think this has to be similar.Nokta have not asked me to test this new unit.my other UA-cam is Treasure hunting pro.on the there is tests.

    Seems like it could be a good detector I don't know if it's better than the Impact I'm gonna find out though I think the viewers would like to see live digs to hear and see tones,sound and vid...I am looking to get a water machine maybe this one or the Equinox 800 but not to replace my Impact the best detector is the one you use the longest it's gonna be very interesting to see how this detector and the Equinox compare to the Impact and At Max great video my friend 👍

    • @CalCobra
      @CalCobra  6 років тому

      Thanks Darnell! The AT Max isn't even in the running, single frequency only, I wouldn't waste my time with it. You're already an expert with the Impact, and that knowledge will transfer over to the Kruzer. The 4-TONE mode audio on the Kruzer is so much better then the Impact (I also have the Impact, and Racer 2, and had the Red Racer), I found the Impact 4-TONE audio to sound digital/artificial and never used it, I mainly used Di3. Yesterday I was as the same spot that I got the two mercury dimes in my field test video and got another merc, the sound is unmistakable, silver jumps out. Now the Equinox may be a different story, we'll see how it does, but oddly, even though it's been announced now for six months, we haven't seen any field videos from the U. S. As you like the Impact, I think you will LOVE the Multi Kruzer.

      No!! Not good. Dry sand ground balance. Weet sand ground balance. Water hunting ground balance. Every 5min you have to make a GB........

    • @CalCobra
      @CalCobra  6 років тому

      I assume you mean on the AT Max? I didn't have any issues at the ocean, GB in wet sand and I was able to move between dry, wet and even under water (the coil, not the detector) and it was stable the entire time without re-ground balancing.

      I had a Sov, didn't bond with the 15" WOT, but did with the 12.5" Sunray (great coil). The Sov, although over twenty years old, was a good machine in it's day, but there are far better modern beach detectors now days.

    I see it has a built in battery, When the battery life ware out , do you need to send it back to the company to get it replaced,, is it easy to find this battery in most battery stores, and can you put it in the detector yourself. ??

    • @CalCobra
      @CalCobra  6 років тому

      Not sure about replacing the battery, but you can use an external USB power bank, and Makro also sells a waterproof battery pack, so seems like you should be OK one way or the other. Thanks for watching!

    I heard you say you had an Impact. Which out of these two would you recommend? I've been looking really hard at the Impact over the last year but I'm leaning a little more towards this one. I'd like the opinion of someone who has used both. Thanks in advance

    • @CalCobra
      @CalCobra  6 років тому +2

      Both are great detectors, for me the Multi Kruzer has everything I need. On my Impact I mainly used the Di3, and DEEP search modes, and I didn't care for the Di4 as the audio seemed to artificial to me. The Multi Kruzer is like a lightweight, waterproof baby Impact, sans some of the search modes, but the MK Di3 has a super fast reactivity mode, they reworked the 4-TONE mode and it sounds fantastic and it's HOT. So for me I'm liking the Multi Kruzer a lot (I sold my Impact).

    Thats a Boy Scout neckerchief badge

    • @CalCobra
      @CalCobra  6 років тому

      I don't think so, if you were to unfold it, it would be round with a rim, likely it was a lid to something, and the metal is much more thin then a neckerchief . I was an Eagle Scout, have several neckerchiefs and have found several detecting over the years, and it's not that. Whatever it originally went to, it's kind of neat. Thanks for watching!

    Can I use my Impact or Fors Coils on the Kruzer

    • @CalCobra
      @CalCobra  6 років тому

      The Impact coils do work, but it's likely not sanctioned by the maker. I have used the IM19 19 x 10 cm/7.5" x 4 DD Coil and it works great. Just keep in mind that as the Impact coils were made to go inside the rod, they have shorter cable lengths.

    The sport is to heavy.what this machine is really like not sure.

    • @CalCobra
      @CalCobra  6 років тому

      The Multi Kruzer is very light at 3lbs, it's well balanced, and if you're referring to the White's MX Sport, the Kruzer is a far superior detector detector with selectable frequencies (Sport is single frequency only). Sorry to say, but White's is way behind in detector technology these days, if they'd released the sport about five years ago it would've been OK (still not great), but now it is pretty far behind other companies. Thanks for watching and happy hunting!
