It's official!!! We own our Klein Karoo homestead land...

- After a 6 month wait the transfer has gone through on the land for our homestead. This land in the Klein Karoo in South Africa is going to be home to a new and incredibly exciting, tough and rewarding experience for our entire family and we want to bring you along with us so you can see what it's really like setting up a homestead from scratch.

Now that we officially own our homestead land there are a few things we need to get to as a matter of urgency! With winter just around the corner we need to try and get a structure up to protect us from the elements. The homestead is based at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains, which are known to be covered in snow in winter. This means the homestead is going to get very cold and we need to make sure we can safely stay warm.
Our next priority is then water. At this stage we can still bring in our own water in jerry cans and other containers, but we need to have a reliable and steady supply of water to bring life to the homestead.
We are incredibly excited about setting our homestead up from scratch and bringing you along with us.
