The meat cutters' strike began at Hormel, and lasted until Dec. 30, 1986.
It was vicious and violent, and when it was over, only about 20% of the striking workers got their jobs back. And Hormel sold its pork-processing division to another company, which slashed wages and benefits, and worsened working conditions.

"Stone Pillow" proved once again that Lucille Ball was a damn good dramatic actress, not just a damn good comedienne.

I would have killed to see The Young and the Restless old school '85 to view Jack and Victor"s feud when it was brand new and fresh a d what started it all/who did what to who. Over the years it got stake a d boring watching all the. Backbiting and bs and I tuned out. It was like get over the petty drama!

25:35 - It's appropriate that, today, Massengill is known only as a brand of douche.
Massengill had been a large pharmaceutical company, until 1937, when its gross negligence (and the lack of strong FD&C laws) caused the Elixir Sulfanilamide disaster, in which hundreds of people across the USA were poisoned.
Anyone know what happened to that missing girl they kept showing?
