  • Guys and Girls - the Hyundai Kona N-Line is the best ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) version of the Kona, with extra N-Line embellishments including also the full suit of Hyundai Smart Sense, Hyundai's version of ADAS, which now includes pedestrian detection, amongst other features.
    18-inch wheels and what feels like a re-tuned suspension setting makes the new Kona N-Line even more fun. Handling is very 'predictable', and it is even able to take some last-minute braking and the set-up helps to pivot the car into the turns.
    The weight of the Kona N-Line is a little under 1,400 kg, and the brakes are more than adequate to handle this mountain, at the very least, even when pushed hard.
    A word of caution though - please do not emulate the driving style, as the driving is done by a trained driver. We do it so that you can see just how good the handling is. Front-wheel-drive vehicles do tend to under-steer a little, but it seems the design engineers have managed to tune the suspension so that the vehicle behaves in a more 'neutral' manner, and the ride is just a little on the firm side of comfortable - this gives the Kona a good balance between comfort and agility.

    i have own Tucson 1.6T with 7-DCT, powertrain system is quite fun especially Sport Mode, love it! current hyundai suspension and chassis much much better than old hyundai car( before 2015)

      i owned the tucson 1.6T (2019/2020 - facelifted). Comfort mode is enough to put smile on my face everytime. Switching on the sport mode puts the tucson in a crazy mood. lol

      @@mohamadambrose8717 just make sure the dual clutch life span is still good (if its a used car). The only way is for hyundai center to run diagnostic. I am not sure whether generic ECU reader can retrieve it or not. look for the facelifted version with full LED headlights.

    2 hari lepas saya baru test drive Kona 2.0 active, seriously best, handling best dan agak selesa kabin terasa luas, setting position driver like sedan x rasa tinggi walaupun Kona is SUV crossover segment B, .
    Lalu jalan raya x rata tiada bunyi rattling pelik2 smooth sahaja. Absober sangat baik boleh serap pelbagai bentuk permukaan jalan raya.
    Ada 3 mode traction control and 3 mode pemanduan so nice.

    went up the hill last week, the road condition are getting worse up there once you pass the premium outlet. I can see how shaky the dashboard is hahaha. Great drive uncle!

    No wonder no one is there to sit next to you uncle YS. If me even I'm speed freak, would have had heart attack sitting inside that Kona while you're slamming the throttle at 110kmph up into those tight coners...😅😅😅
    Looks like Hyundai Kona is now my new favourite. But no worries X50 and X70 coz you two also not bad...😊

    Im kinda thinking, is this car really good or is it good because you are driving it? This is an electric car, am i right? Yet you make it like a very powerful car. Watch other review about this car, really felt in love with its spec but never thought it could be this good when watch u driving it

      Hi, thanks for gracing our channel - this is the internal combustion engine variant (ICE) with a 1.6 liter turbocharged engine 195 hp, and 265Nm of torque - a bundle of fun. If a car is not good, I have to drive it slower. A good handling car allows me to really put it through its paces, especially around the bends.

    Uncle, since you have tried Kona Turbo pre facelift... Did you feel any difference enough in handling between these two?
    Or the newer N Line has KONAring a miles better?

      Seems they have tuned the suspension somewhat, as this seems to hold the road better. Oh, and the 18-inch wheels help too. Cannot remember the tyre size of the pre-facelift.

      This version comes with Continental Premium Contact 6 too. A tad noisier than Pilot Sport 4, but it holds on the road as good as, if not better than, PS4.

      Apply brake before cornering, not during cornering. And ofcourse u have to use good set of tyres. not china tyres yeah ...

      It is hard on the throttle, or hard on the brakes; all braking is done on the straight before corner, and acceleration is done after the turning point.

      If I am not mistaken, it is RM156,888 OTR before insurance. Get it quick before stock runs out. This is a CBU.

      This one is more powerful, for sure. Have not driven the CX3 for more than 2 years so I cannot really remember, but it was very good on this mountain as well.

      Just put into 3 and drive normally. Coming down, use low gear on the steep slopes and on the lower slopes use 3.

      If budget constraint, the X50 is best. If budget no problem, the Kona is the choice. Choose the vehicle that best suits you. Watch the X50 video too, and check out the stability compared to this.

    I think the powertrain in this car is slightly more playful compared to the one the X50 But the interior is no where near as nice as the X50.

      Powertrain is one thing, chassis tuning is also another area that Kona does much better than X50. X50 is a typical Chinese car with very soft suspension.

      @@brandonwoo8299 I never drive a Binyue before but X50 is as soft as MG HS and ZS, both I have tested in Singapore before. Have you tried a Kona before?

      The Hyndai vehicles are great at handling. Most car companies can tune their cars nowadays, because many of them use very similar set ups.
