Should I swap my PM7000n for this since I do love the thought of hooking up via HDMI and getting an Emotiva Basx A2 stereo amplifier to drive the Polk Rti a7

I have the same question. I really like my PM7000N big, spacious and insightful sound. I don't want to sell it because I'm afraid I might miss it. I will probably keep it and move it to my dining room. Save money to buy the Stereo 70s for my living room. I have two Sonus faber standmount speakers anyway so it would make sense to just pair it with each other.

No, and the PM7000n has now been replaced by the costlier Model 60N, it has HDMI though.

Does the HDMI pass SACD on this unit? Thank you.

Great video with comprehensive information!! Just one question, if I want to connect a harddrive with music to the USD connection, any limitation on the size of the drive? And what software can I use to play it and see on the connected tv?

There is a total limit of 5000 music files, 500 folders that are supported. Take note that the larger the hard drive storage, the longer it will take to index the files.

Thank you for the presentation! Clarified a lot of questions I had regarding this product. My only concern is about sound quality compared to competitors in this price range, of course having 1 HDMI port. I would not be happy to find out after buying it, that this is a kinda HDMI ports vs. sound quality product.

So what is the better unit? Stereo 40n or 70s ? I can get the 40n on the market for average 1500€ . To be resourceful and environmentally conscious buying used in very good condition is an important option. So these two units come closer. But the 70s is newer to the 40n so is it a competitor ?

if this had a torroidal power supply in it, it would be perfect.

What difference or benefits come with a torroidal power supply?

Now I don’t know which one should I pick… I love the more audiophile oriented approach of the stereo70, but the flexibility of the cinema70 is also very appealing. Why is it so difficult to choose?

Be no good for movies as its only PCM sound 2ch with no Digital Decoders like Dts, Dolby Digital, so you won't get LFE channel in movie soundtracks from Subwoofer

can you recomend one that does has decoders for dts, dolby digital etc? for a 2.1 speakers set up? thx
