Paul's attitude and his reliance on having the strongest Pokemon and using them in everyday battles cause his downfall in more ways than one and that was totally worth it because Brandon showed him how much it would backfire on him and it did big time and honestly speaking he deserves to be humbled to an unapologetic extent, good to go for Brandon doing just that and holding his ground for sure.
But tbh Ash V Tobias was kinda… out of there… since the man had legends and we meet this man the same last few episodes. I feel like it would be more impactful if it was Ash V Barry since they both know each other and are rivals. Meaning they will have a great battle to show how much both grown. Hence why it would be more interesting when ash loses than just by a legend spammer like Tobias.
@@kaif_2124 Ash had that opportunity to use old mons as well. But Ash refuses to do so because of pride and a determination to validate his ideals. Furthermore, Ash admitted that Paul battling style was superior so there is still a chance Ash would have still lost.
Seeing this guy, after abusing and abandoning an innocent Chimchar who most likely had trauma for being too “weak”? Honestly that was a satisfying defeat. :)
Ok, seriously. I have seen multiple channels doing this type of videos, in this exact manner. Everybody saw it from a few famous UA-camrs, and noticed that it works. So, now everybody does it, hoping that they'll make success that way, or they have no originality. And each one has even worse quality than the last.
Some constructive criticism but put your audio through any ai audio enhancer and you you’ll see a huge difference but other than good video nice editing by the way it’s just the audio
He’d probably heard about how Paul treats his Pokemon and decided to shut him down in the hardest way possible. The Gym Leaders / Elite Four / Frontier Brains probably do talk to each other, and Paul’s aggressive methods may have been discussed. Cynthia certainly is going to remember someone who challenged her, and then had to be told to take his Pokemon to a center for treatment. The fact that so many Master-level trainers disapprove of Paul really should have clued him in that there’s an issue with his methods, but he’s rather die than admit he was wrong.
This match made no sense at all. Yeah Paul is a bad guy blah blah but come on at least they should have beat him using the competitive mindset like him, not the anime bullshit. But of course, pokemon fans will ignore it since Paul is the " bad " guy.
But beating Paul using his own competitive mindset is exactly what happened though. Paul insists on using only the strongest pokemon, so Brandon challenges him with pokemon who are slow and tanky heavy hitters. They will hold strong against all of Paul's biggest strongest attacks and then hit back harder, showing Paul the error of his ways. But Brandon took it a step further too and also used moves like Iron Head and Ice Beam that gave him chances for flinches and freeze to teach Paul yet another lesson that there's even more ways to win than just overpowering a pokemon you have a good type matchup against.
@@ThePhantomTomo Paul's loss against Brandon made me realize that strength and winning isn't everything. Brandon knew that deep down, Paul was a sore loser. Paul's overbearing masculinity especially in the Pokémon he raises were not enough to defeat Brandon. If people want to defeat Brandon, they need to fight like a hero. Paul was just too evil to defeat Brandon. He fought like a man, and was very intelligent, but being a bully to Ash and all the Pokémon who he considered weak, or effeminate was what led to his comeuppance by Brandon. Make no mistake, Brandon fights like a hero, and you'll need to be heroic enough to take Brandon down.
@@LucarioNNSo would Cynthia, Nurse Joy, and the countless others who kept shaking their head at Paul’s behavior. I always thought of Paul as being an avatar for those competitive-Meta players who only care about winning with the strongest Pokemon and behave so toxically that all the fun goes out. The fact that Paul actually lives in-universe with the Pokemon makes his behavior even more wretched.
Never has there been a more deserved shutout in Pokemon than this.

Smart match. It showed Paul that there are lot more levels to battling that he could even imagine. I liked it, just as good as Ash vs tobias

a few days later paul literally smokes and obliterates ash's team at lake acuity
by using old mons, really very fair 😆

@@TOOLZONED with old mons? Hell nah. It's not even a debate. His old mons have enough feats to crush through paul's team.

Brandon juiced up their defense and special defense ev's and it shows
As a person who hated paul, i love it
I still dislike him as ever.
Smookin on that paul pack 🚬
I like this turn in content
It was unfair to begin with because Brandon got 3 whole legendaries
Tbh, regi trio is allowed in any competition, as they are not uber legendaries or mythical pokemon.
He could've at least defeated one of the Regis. Ash was able to beat it with Pikachu.
Think this battle is up there with the most one sided battle taking first place still is Ash vs Tobias that battle was beyond unfair 😂
That one dude who lost to Paul named Ash: "Am I a joke to you?"
Brandon probably just wanted to body him hard lol
That’s what he gets

Kinda unfair he used regirock, registeel and regicide against Paul but against ash he only uses regice😂

….Dude Paul’s team is barely Candice Level at that time. Do you honestly think he’s beating Brandon, a guy Ash had to CHALLENGE 3 TIMES TO BEAT?!?
Paul did nothing wrong and yet got fucked over cause of anime logic.
