I have never eaten deer bacon and called a friend in Mexico and asked if he could make some for me and he has never eaten it either but we're watching your videos to learn how.
Cold at 50 degrees! I would LOVE 50 degrees! Won't see or feel those temperatures for several more months. I am just happy to be out of 14 degrees. Thank you for the smokehouse! I have never seen one in action.
Never heard of deer bacon, but I’m going to try it! Years ago an older Gentleman told me that bark left on the oak wood was giving me heartburn. He was right on! Good job on the video.
Awesome video and DIY how to provide for yourself and keeping History Alive. Many moons ago we depended on Deer, Groundhog, Squirrel, Fish, Quail, etc. and our hunting skills to never be hungry. Thank you.
When you call that the Epic Smoke House, you are right! That is a beautiful building and it definitely turned out some great looking deer bacon. My mouth is watering just looking at this video.
Good afternoon Y'all, and everyone watching! Hope your holiday was a joyful and blessed one. So glad you made this video series on making a bacon alternative! Neither one of us can have pork anymore. This is such a good idea/alternative!!! My mouth was watering! 😊🥰😋
I been waiting for a year to see you smoke bacon. I was praying for cold weather for you all. I really enjoyed the video, especially when Mr. Danny left the protector on the heat thermometer. Thanks for sharing 🙏 😎 🏝 🏖
Dear Mr Danny you sure are looking like your in your happy place. I am so impressed with your smoker. Its a dandy for sure. Never had deer bacon before didn't even know there was such a thing. Im adding it to my must try list. As always thanks for the inspiration to try new things. I just love this channel 🙏💓🇨🇦
I expect it’ll be easier to do the smoking when all of the finishing touches are done. Maybe, with this, you won’t run out (🤯) of bacon so soon again. 🤤 IMO, it’s a blessing that it turned out so well. 😋
Did you name the smokehouse Beyond Epic? Don't know how I missed it or just my oldtimers mind Lol. Looks amazing! I love Danny's reaction to the flavor. Have a lovely day.
I bet that is delicious! Never had deer bacon. Wanda got the best part. 😂 I wish there was tasteavision. Delicious 😋 Are you going to put a couple of adjustable vents to control oxygen levels? Just curious.
What did you put on your deer bacon for seasoning? I know when you were cooking pork belly use brown sugar and salt. I think I only use Redmond salt. I think that’s what you did and then you put it in the icebox and turned it over for seven days, then you brought it out you washed it. You hooked it up on the kitchen cabinet knobs to dry and then you took it back and slice the bacon I have a Traeger smoking crew. I have done the pork belly 4 pound pork belly and I use your recipe. Please show us how you season the deer that looks so good. I could smell it way over here in Biloxi Mississippi. Oh well I can dream Kano. I wish we could really smell it cooking. Wouldn’t that be great!!
On our little smoker wehave in the garage, the inside is lined in stainless steel. Could you do that to your smoker or is it just a different type? A useless fact: you can make bacon out of banana peels! Saw a Utube video on it.
You do a lot of building! That's cool. Come build me a Finnish Sauna! haha! Just tossing you! You can roll around in the snow like it's polystyrene ball insulation, and not feel a thing! _Save America!
@pecangrove new canner here. I want to can some discount hams I got and I have a electric nesco canner would you recommend this as safe? I plan 90 min in qrt jars w a ham broth for covering
Just a helpful suggestion, any electric pressure cooker isn’t considered a safe option for canning. It may say it’s safe; but the USDA says it will not hold the pressure per lbs according to your altitude. Please only use a pressure canner - stove top or a stamped Electric Pressure Canner. 🌷
@@arknanny2547 I use mine with great success. The whole world can't without pressure canners and without the USDA rules. I am a very experienced canner, I have 7 canners and I night that canner on Rose red's recommendation.
I have never eaten deer bacon and called a friend in Mexico and asked if he could make some for me and he has never eaten it either but we're watching your videos to learn how.
It's really easy
Wow, that smokehouse is just really something beautiful to look at. May the Lord bless everything you smoke. I really enjoy watching you both. Enjoy!

Deer Bacon..! Learned something new today🤗🤗😋❤❤!
Cool!
I need a smoke house. I love smoked rabbit and sausage.
So glad your so happy with it 💝👍👍💝

Yes we did
WOW, that looks Great !!!
Danny and Wanda you are making me hungry for some of that deer bacon😂
What an accomplishment. Glory to God ! ❤❤❤
That looks so good.
Good thing you checked on it! Whew!
That’s a really nice smokehouse!
Good morning ❤.
Morning!
Keep it smoking
It’s 51 here and should have a high close to 60 in southern Indiana. But it’s raining
Great video yall. I could almost taste the meat myself!🤤
Only had deer bacon 1x. Quite tasty. 😊
Very educational. It looks so good. You did a good job on the smoke house. God bless y’all.
Nice!
🙏 Thank you for sharing
That turned out awesome!
I was tasting it with y'all . . . . . .mmmmmmm. Nice job, Danny!
That is awesome. I hope to try and make a smokehouse and deer bacon in the future .
I've never had deer bacon, didn't know it existed. This looks tasty.
Found you🍀! Thanks for the vid🍽😀
I bet that is delicious! Never had deer bacon. Wanda got the best part. 😂 I wish there was tasteavision. Delicious 😋

Yes I am.
Sounds interesting and tasty.
Can we get some tips on deer hunting. I'm on 9 acres in Atlanta, putting out corn and sitting with an SKS
Would love to know where you found those strike anywhere matches?
Walmart
Nice ... Got any mulberry ... Green mulberry or seasoned is my favorite smoking wood ... Grows like a weed
They don’t make matches like they used too!
That's the truth.
Great video God bless
Been awhile since I made some, got me wanting to make some.
It appears that the celery powder does keep it red!
Looks like giant meatloaf. 😁
Beautiful. But not fair tasting and showing is the bacon and making our mouths water. Great job.
❤
Need to have some wet wood on hand ...to slow burn and smoke when youre ready
So you’re actually cooking it?
Yes it doesn't get cold enough here to cold smoke.
Is that ground deer? It looks like it in the video. I want to try it on beef.
Yes mixed with pork

I used the same mixture as my pork bacon. Only use kosher salt don't use mineral salt.
😋😋👍👍
What did you smoke it with.
Pecan wood
Any updates on Ms Lippy and family?
Not yet

A useless fact: you can make bacon out of banana peels! Saw a Utube video on it.
Make your coals outside in a bonfire and shovel them in as needed next time. LOL would hate to see that nice smoke house become a Firehouse.
That treated sill plate is concerning.... 🤔🤔🤔
It's micronized copper not harmful.
Mr. Danny you might want to build your fire outside in a pit, and then shovel your coals into your pot!
You do a lot of building! That's cool. Come build me a Finnish Sauna! haha! Just tossing you! You can roll around in the snow like it's polystyrene ball insulation, and not feel a thing! _Save America!
