This bailed me out since I just started doing in house finishing and we’ve had always stocked Mykita. I was putting the connecting piece in backwards because intuitively it makes me want to put it spaced side outward. Big up!
Try warming up the frame slightly and start inserting the lens temple side first, then slowly keep pressing the lens in and around and leave the nasal for last. Hope that helps! :)
This guy makes no mention of the need for the special plastic protector that needs to be between the two pieces, and following these instructions a likely outcome is you will damage the finish of the frames, and in fact in the video if you look closely you will see scratches.

I think the depth was .6mm, but you should measure the thickness with a micrometer to help ensure the best fitment.
i did last time 0.55 mm dip and thikness 0.55 or 0.6mm. do test lens first
