In this video, I will talk about how developers are reducing the rewards, share with you the current seven redeem codes, and also discuss when you can expect reruns for Zhongli and Raiden.

Let's start with the unfairness regarding the reduction of in-game rewards.
In version 4.6, we got a new map, and I think a lot of people expected to farm some primogems by opening the chests. But if we take a look at it on the Interactive World Map, we can see that the new map is mostly empty. Of course, locations like Remuria and Petrichor have some chests, but what about the new parts of Sumeru? It's almost empty.
By the way, here are all the current redeem codes, I’ll leave them in the description, so don't forget to redeem them.
Furthermore, when update 4.7 is released, new game content will be added, featuring a different type of Abyss. However, this time, it's not about leveling up characters but about having specific characters on your account. The more characters you have, the better your experience in Abyss will be. You can get trial characters from there, but it probably won't be enough to clear it.
Upon the first clear, you'll obtain 1100 Primogems, and this Abyss will be reset monthly. From the next clears you will get 620 Primogems.
But The rewards for clearing the current Abyss have been increased from 600 to 800. However, there's another crucial point to note: the addition of the new Abyss has reduced the rewards of the current one. Currently, the Abyss resets twice a month, allowing you to obtain a total of 1200 Primogems. From now on, however, it will reset once a month, meaning developers have taken half of the rewards from the current Abyss and put them into the new one.
That's not all. Despite the rewards being almost the same, the time required to obtain them has increased because you'll now need to clear two Abysses and have a specific character on your account.
Now, what about the reruns of Zhongli and Raiden Shogun?
When a new region is released, all Archons will begin to rerun one by one. The same thing happened in Fontaine when we first saw Zhongli in 4.0, then Venti in 4.1, and Raiden in 4.3. Therefore, you can expect a rerun of Venti, Zhongli, and Raiden Shogun from versions 5.0 to 5.2. If the Pyro Archon is released in the first versions of the new region, then one of those three will rerun in 5.3.

Genshin players complaining about lack lustre rewards for 3 and a half years and genshin just gives us less and less. Honestly just tired of how bad they treat the players who gave them worldwide success and billions of dollars. I literally just got ar 60 today after three years of playing. I hope Wuthering waves treats the players right man because my hope for genshin has gotten so painfully low and they still manage not to deliver. Wish I enjoyed hsr since they seem to treat their players better but fuck I hate that game and turn based mechanics. I wonder sometimes if genshin is purposely trying to die so they can just focus on Honkai stuff. It’s just really sad that no matter what we do they just don’t listen. There will never be a game that can kill genshin except for genshin itself and it honestly seems to be going that way. They have no competition so people who want that kind of game have no other options which is a big reason why they’re still so successful to this day. I’m just still mind blown after the rage of lantern rite this year, especially from the Chinese community which global players all believed were the only ones mihoyo gave a shit about they never even made a statement about it. The rage passed and it’s almost like it never happened now. They don’t care about any of us, lantern rite made that very clear. I feel if they don’t get their shit together for natlan then this game has lost all hope because it will finally have a competitor in Wuthering waves who seem to actually be listening to their community. I don’t think it will rival genshin upon release mind you but once word spreads on it and it grows I can see many genshin fans throwing in the towel to go there. I hope they realize that and change their ways but let’s be real they likely won’t.

I'm a new player and I don't do the abbyss that much, but now that they're reducing the rewards it seems to me that it is going to be a lot harder to obtained primogems for future banners. So we should really use our primos wisely
they did not reduce rewards btw. They just distributed the rewards evenly from the current/past abyss to the upcoming new one.
It's the same rewards just split between 2 Abyss events. Yes you need more characters, or more, you need specific elements. Yet there will be trail characters and, allegedly, able to use one of your friend's characters. Befriend dolphins and whales, problem solved.
PLEASE learn not to trust leakers so easily. Abyss is endgame and you won't be able to beat it super easily, but as long as you build your characters well, you won't have a problem. Also, don't think that you need every 5* character. I've cleared Abyss many times simply by investing in the 4* I got. Invest in Dendro-teams (especially Bloom and Hyperbloom), because these teams are just too broken!

For example, some players have connection problems (or like me, I live far from where the NA Server is located), Others play on inferior mobile devices, or simply don't have the ability to perform great runs with 4 stars. That's why I say that 5-star characters are accurate, At least top tier supports.

Honestly as someone who plays this as more of a game than a gacha game, I will say I don't pay *as much* attention to rewards, but I still think they should be doing better with how they handle them. That said, it feels like Genshin really has been listening lately with just how many QOL improvements there have been, and maybe this is me huffing copium but maybe they might address this too at some point. At least, I hope they do!

So I did a whole bunch of research on the recent beta and peoples thoughts on it and after seeing how mixed the response was, I really don't think Wuthering Waves will compete the way people want it to. It'll likely have that "honeymoon period" that all trendy games have where everyone talks about it and it's front paging on Twitch and whatnot, but then start to see a decline by the time ZZZ and Genshin 5.0 arrive, maybe even Elden Ring I guess lol.
I definitely hope Wuthering Waves is good because that would be nice, I never want to see a game fail, but I really don't see it competing in any real capacity after the first month or so.
They will get some people to jump over but most won’t stay. Wuwa is the kinda game you have to devote a ton of time to it’s more challenging etc. that seems fine and fun at first but eventually people get tired of logging in and having to play for like 5 hours a day to be OK. People who can’t devote that kinda time won’t stick around. It won’t fail or anything but the whole hardcore thing is a niche.
Edit: not to mention there are a lot of other games coming right behind wuwa that are more impressive. Wuwa is just a game they tried to make similar to genshin but harder that’s not very interesting and people will get bored of playing a long harder genshin replacement the ones that will faire better are the ones with more unique styles like Azur Promilia which has tons of stuff outside the genshin idea built into the core concept of the game like catching and training pets etc games like that will do better

For example, if there wasn't this upcoming game andgame, it would be the difference of ONE ROLL. And we all know that when hoyo is generous with an update, it discounts the next ones. A good example is the lantern rite, It came with almost 90 rolls, and the next update came with 50. A discrepant difference, don't you think?

Hoyo just preparing for Wuthering Waves release. They were saying before that Genshin was just a cash grab before they do another Honkai game (not literally, but their attitude shows it well). And release of WW is a good chance to finally drop Genshin. Hoyo sincerely care about players and they don't want them to spend more money on gacha when another game comes out. So they decided to withdraw from competition to give all that profit to another company. Such a big heart they have! Respect!

Or at least the old abyss would continue to reset every 15 days. For example, today I have nothing to do in Genshin, nothing, and I wanted to play, but I've already done everything, I don't want to just walk around Teyvat begging for crumbs of content.

I think framing the abyss part as them reducing rewards is a bit dishonest: rewards were moved to new content, not reduced.
What you described is essentially going from 2 abyss runs (one per half month) to 2 different abyss runs (both available the whole month).
It's the same rewards, now with more gameplay variety and more lenient requirements.
You may complain they didn't _increase_ rewards, and there's a solid argument they maybe should, but saying they reduced them is misleading and bad faith on the devs.
As for chests, yeah on those you're right! Empty areas on the map are never welcome (albeit empty ocean is fine by me).

Not really a reduction, we got 600 primos twice a month. With the new system it's 800 primos and 620 primos from two abysses once a month. That's an increase of 220 primogems: 1200 -> 1420. Not really generous, but not a reduction either.

I was like what the duck is this bullshit the second I logged into the game and lost all the interest for anything genshin has to offer especially since I lost 50/50 for neuvilettes book 2 times after hardcore grinding so now I'll just go casual with trying to get baizhu since I have his weapon due to my previous grinding for furinas weapon, which I got pretty easy ... When my last welkin runs out I'm going to cut genshin time a lot , which will be good since I'll focus on studying and still be able to afford to draw at least a little every day.. it won't hurt much either since I haven't spent much.. I think I spent like 6kRSD which is basically less then 50 dollars ... At least when another sparkly character gives me will to play again in the future I'll have enough resources to grind for them

I think at this point, it would be wise to just accept that Genshin is a very casual game.
They have proven long ago that they don't listen to players, if they were to change they would have, Wuthering Waves won't make any difference.
Play it casually, for the story, the characters, the world, pull the characters you like for design or gameplay and maybe the music. It's best not to expect good endgame from Genshin.
Heck, I won't even suggest pushing for difficult floors like abyss 12. Way too work for not even 1 pull. Till abyss 11 is fine.
If you want hardcore combat experience, play Wuthering Waves. I am gonna play both, Genshin gets dry once I am done completing the version quests.

I think it's a little unlikely. What generates income for today is the whales, and they will continue to spend regardless. But for f2p, moving to another game will be like moving away from home.
The decision of having to immediately complete the abyss and get full rewards for the month is cool, (since you can now pull 3 times more (not that great but still better than nothing) for the character you want to get during a banner phase) however, being stingy with the rewards by just distributing the primo count along the 2 abysses is uncool and is actually pretty disappointing.
Nothing new coming from hoyoverse. Honestly, this game mode is simply a way to make you like the gameplay of a character and want to spend money on it, which was expected, but not cool.
Oh ffs, for me, the worst part is not even rewards, it's the endgame content. They finally do at least fucking something and add at least some new type of fighting endgame content, but no, we can't have too much of that - lets make the current abyss update only once a month. Such a shame man

So, let me guess this straight. Rather than doing two Spiral every month for 1200 primos, we now do 1 old and 1 new Spiral a month for 1420 primos.
However, the new Spiral will require having certain characters on your account, less you have to stuggle with underpowered trial characters.
Thus you could potentially end up getting LESS than 1200 primos a month by simply not having certain characters on your account.
HoYo, how are people even supposed to GET characters if you keep being so dang stingy with your primos???

This makes me really concerned about the future of the game itself. I love the game for it's story, lore and the characters. It is really interesting and intriguing to explore the world of Teyvat and its past, as well as its potential future. Every update, every new Archon quest, all the bits and pieces we receive continously I devour. Every bit of lore, new lore, new connections to be made, new theories to create, debunk or to be proven right - it is so amazing. And the quests, animation etc. I feel like are getting better and better.
So with the prospect of Hoyo ruining the monetization and making it even harder to get premium currency for free? It would only be understandable for players to boycott the game, until it maybe really loses a large majority of it's playerbase. And with the players gone to support Hoyo's cashgrab, there wouldn't be any reason in a business point of view to continue development of the product. But maybe my concerns are unnecessary, solely because I suspect the whales who spend huge sums of money in the game are the largest portion of income. Let’s be honest, the people who want more endgame are playing the wrong game. Genshin is and ALWAYS has been a casual experience so it’s understandable that hoyo are hesitant to give us endgame content

Just more reason to never whale in this game. Wont spend a penny given how poorly Mihoyo treats the players. They continiously incentivise players to spend money, and THEY DO, and its just a never ending cycle. Its fun to get a character u want, i get it, but jeez just why give this company money......
I like to compare hoyo to a circus, they show extremely simple and effortless tricks, in order to make a fortune in the end.
