This plea is to Indian men attending ISKCON temple or even outdoor events, like Rath Yatra and Harinama Sankirtan. As per the wishes of Srila Prabhupada, all Vaishnavas must remove unkempt beards and long hair. Many Indian men do not even shower before entering Vedic temple premises and wear inappropriate tight western clothes. This is very offensive to ISKCON devotees and against out Vedic culture.
