    I didn't use any gel polish but I did make decals of them by using my silicone mat. I did 2 layers of the paint so they would be a little embossed when I put them on my nail. Tip: make small enough decals so they don't get close to the edge and mess up when you do the acetone melting around the edges. I learned that after the first one lol.

    For nail art, the Gelaze works an absolute treat. I did end up picking up the black Gelaze for the marble look (after failing with Gelish) and it worked perfectly. Exactly like in the video. I don't have the patience for looks like these but I love watching the process!

    • @LuxaPolish
      @LuxaPolish  8 років тому

      +DScritchy I agree! Gelaze for nail art is great! Not so much as a regular gel polish....the tacky surface is to slick for my top coats and I feel like some of the Gelaze colors aren't as opaque as other brands :)
      I'm so glad the Gelaze black worked better for you for the marble design!! -L

    My brush won't go that way. Like when ur trying to go around in a half circle, my brush doesn't glide around like that. Ugh! Is it my brush?

    Thank you, I just learned so much. Please tell me what you use to attach the fake nail to your orange stick, because I use these painted nails as actual glue on fake nails once I'm done painting my design. Thank You

    I love this tutorial. Now if I can get my brush right I might be able to do it lol. Is your brush stiff? Mine keeps on squaring out when I do the curve. Maybe I'm pushing to hard? And I have the hardest time going right to left.

    Beautiful!! I'm used to using acrylic paint for my free hand designs. Have you always used polish and if so, is there a reason why as opposed to the paint? In the '80's we all used acrylic paint so I'm wondering if there was a shift to polish for a specific reason or just personal preference. Thanks!! 💜💅

    • @LuxaPolish
      @LuxaPolish  8 років тому +3

      +Sharon Hoelzle thank you! I also use acrylic paint for a lot of nail art as well....but for this kind of design I haven't had much luck....not saying it can't be done. With gel polish or gel paint it gives me more time to work :)

      I'm learning that having time is everything. I like doing complex designs with gel polish bc gel polish isn't instantly drying so your brush and your art stay crisp and neat. Acrylic paints and regular polishes are drying as soon as you open them. Having fans off and windows closed helps too lol
