We spend a season seeing Carolyn bereaved by the death of her son. We see her for the first time fragile, touched by someone, emotional. I loved Carolyn in the previous seasons because she was powerful, funny and always so detached. Season 3 shows all the characters facing their weaknesses: Eve weakened by her trauma following Rome, Vil' facing her feelings (towards her family and towards Eve), Konstantin and his health... And the following season, nothing follows. Nothing matches. We waste all this potential that made us attach a little more to the characters in S3 by revealing their flaws to us. We forget everything and we do something totally different, which looks nothing like what has been seen before. Such a waste.
Such a shame that the brilliance of series one couldn’t survive beyond it. The quality in the storyline and dialogue was very average here. But at least we had had the first series masterpiece. TV perfection. ❤️
Same music used when Bill was killed by Villanelle in season one. I actually got choked up before Konstantin screamed for help from Villanelle. He was my favorite in the show, and I simply did not want to see him go out like that, nor did I expect the scream for help. Powerful.
I think we can all agree that in this scene we have the most important characters of season 3 and that all of them are, although to different degrees, assassins, manipulators and psychopaths.
I think there are a couple reasons why.. mainly because she's a psychopath and doesn't really form connections with people - with exception to maybe Eve, even though for most of the series that was more like an obsession. You can see on her face before he yelled at her to help that she was almost enjoying it. After he yelled maybe she was caught off guard because she didn't realize she meant anything to him. I also think that Konstantin betrayed her too many times and showed her that he ultimately doesn't care about her. So even if she had formed a connection to him, he didn't reciprocate it.
Because she’s a psychopath and was enjoying being a spectator (her little smirk whilst watching is just everything!!). She respects Carolyn and knows how much Kenny meant to her as her son and also to Eve as her friend. I also think there’s an element of her that knew Konstantin had it coming, because he’d double crossed and betrayed so many people. Carolyn’s line “this was inevitable” just sums everything up perfectly.
This is entirely about villanelle putting her arm around eve, all casual like it's a few couples getting together for drinks😂💗 Loved Constantin screaming for V to help him --bc u know shes thinking "remember that prison you left me in?" or "you never called me your little sausage"😂 Def holds a grudge. I like how then she subtly takes her arm off Eve and sits forward..not to save Constantin, but to protect Eve in case Carolyn starts pointing the gun their way. Jodie is massively talented at bringing all these tiny nuances to a scene to make it so extra 💗
"It was a very toxic workplace" 😂 😂
I love how Constantine talks to Villanelle normally after nearly getting shot in the head
Because everyone in the room is a psychopath but on different levels 😂
I thought this went from an hilarious scene to one full of tension and remember feeling relieved she didn't shoot Constantine.
I was so anxious throughout this entire episode. I totally thought Konstantin was going to die and was glad when he didn’t
this scene is intense and funny at the same time, it makes me laugh every time because of the way Jodie plays Vi here.

They killed Kenny! - You bastards! 😁
Damn I was just about to say that!😂
Pauls followed by villanelle’s reaction at 02:05 is so funny to me 😅

This is both hilarious and tense at the same time.

Sorry Caroline ☹️
The strongest scene of the series.
i don't understand why villanelle did nothing
Me either 😅, I’m still wondering why she didn’t help him

Cause she's a psychopath. She doesn't really care for him
She stayed out of it because she respected Carolyn and knew it was between them
