    I think 2k needs to add in a different tier of aggressive contact layup animations, layups in 2k tend to be the soft choice will dunking is the more aggressive choice... and layup timing is kinda inconsistent in the park, the green window is heavily effected by your defenders, great vid bro

      Hey Ashwin just want to say I appreciate this comment bro!! Don't worry if you can't pull it off, because it took me years to really get a good understanding of 2K's mechanics and systems, and then every year they iterate further and I got to learn a little bit more. My advice is to make yourself uncomfortable by trying to learn something new as the entire year of 2K comes along. You don't need to be good at everything, but start building the base for the skills needed in 2K. You'll be surprised with how good you can get by the end of the year just by starting slow!!

    Last thing. To be effective with Lay-up or a threat, Mid-range is a must have (3 is far). An easier way to connect those 2 in fast paced plays. It adds more realism to it rather than throwing a coconut 3s. Builders are brutally scary effective if we know how to connect the dots also. Making sky rocket attributes doesn't reflect on the floor if we can't pull it. Try connecting the core of your player to the badges and always double the Takeovers. On my part it is Ankle breaking shots, cored Combo Dribble, HOF, Ankle breaker, HOF quick. All my badges are connected to how I play my role. And I assume this is how you effectively be a threat to a certain role.

    A lot of UA-camrs say that 92 drib speed is useless. Man, they need to be hands on this. 98 handles and a 92 drib speed is needed to be successful in finishing in the paint and the only downside to it is it requires a lot of skill to pull this off. Split second battle is the key to what gathers you pull and that defines how good you are as a Finisher. Dunks and Threes are no brainer methods.

    Bro does anyone know how to drive past hof ai defenders, I have slithery gold and literally even the smallest players still clamp me up. Also have a lot of strength. Did they change it up in 23? Last time I played mycareer was in 2k20 and I would drive past defenders so easily with my badges and stats

      Practice your launches and Ls angles you essentially have to time your R2 correctly(dont just hold it and launch) and have the ls pointed in the correct direction

      y’all gotta learn angles bruh lol 2k is moving in a more realistic direction with the controls. U can do the scoop lay up every time from almost the free throw even, if u know when to do and what angles u can do in

      @@freddycalipari4242 that’s what i’m saying tho. U are essentially throwing the stick left or right. U just have to throw it at the right angle depending where your player is. Like u said u only activate it when holding the stick diagonally left or right

    How to make layup dunk

    • @KevinCruz016
      @KevinCruz016  Рік тому

      Layups are done by holding the RS (no turbo in any direction - for different kinds of layups check the video). If you mean layup gathers to dunk combos, you can do that by holding R2 (turbo) after your hop gather or euro step gather, and then holding the RS up or down!

  • @harufuji9066

    This layups is hard to do when your difficulty is allstar to hall of fame because of the tight defense

    • @KevinCruz016
      @KevinCruz016  2 роки тому

      My difficulty is HOF, so it's certainly possible! Getting the open lane is the most important step to making sure you're able to finish! Knowing which contact layups, or finesse finishes are the next step too! Badges will help, and I think layup timing helps too!
