I feel like people aren't praising the actors enough, especially focusing on the two boys, they brought the characters to life PERFECTLY. They understood the character. And I don't know why Gavin stands out to me, but he was exactly how Jeremiah was in the book it's insaneee

I think Conrad is a more complex character so I’m assuming for an actor he might be more fun to play… BOTH guys (actually all of the ) at the end of episode 7, had me on n tears! you can really tell the cast has read all three books. especially chris and lola. in regards to the way they talk about their characters and how they portray them.
i literally watched the show twice. the first time was the day it came out and me and my mom watched it all day without stopping and i cried forever after the last episode. and i watched it again with my mom and cousin and cried the whole last episode knowing everything that was already going to happen. i and definitely team jere, all the way! he just proved he loved her time after time and knew he wanted her from the beginning, even tho conrad also knew he wanted belly from the beginning he never tried to show her that i feel.
When I was reading the books I switched who switched a lot of I preferred Belly with but Gavin legit makes me ship him with Belly the chemistry b/w the actors and just Gavin brought Jeremiah alive so well he was petty and immature a little bit trying to mess up Belly and Conrad but he still young and still learning

i remember meeting gavin at a restaurant a whileeeeee back, about 4-5 years ago i would say .. and i cannot express how KIND he was , he was seriously the sweetest person ever . so down to earth and comforting !! even after i took a picture with him and spoke with him he later went out of his way while leaving the restaurant to come back to our table and say that it was nice meeting us . i’m so glad to see him getting the recognition he sooo deserves now . he’s truly a sweetheart
this group was perfectly casted. from reading the books and seeing the show, i could not see anyone else stepping into these roles and doing as good a job as these beautiful people.
I was exactly thinking the same thing. This cast definitely is authentic and reminds me of the iconic teen movies and shows in the 90s and early 2000s.
I read these books when they came out 12-ish years ago when I was 14 and it quickly became a favorite series of mine. When I saw they made a series out of it I rushed to watch every episode and was not disappointed. These actors brought the characters to life in such a perfect way and did the books so much justice.
They're all so mature and emotionally intelligent for their young ages! Loved this interview and loved listening to their deep thoughts about the show.
i LOVED this show! the location and cinematography so pretty. it had a weird way of reminding me of my own teenage summer days, even though they were nothing like this. no fancy island and big houses, yet, the feeling was there. summer fun. being whisked away by the waves and as you blink,, the summer is over. magical times. i really did NOT like, how Belly just went with jeremiah just because it was her other option, but she ran back to Conrad as soon as she could. do not hurt jeremiah!! he is THE most precious boy! oh my gosh. :( also, gotta say, i LOVED how this was basically a taylor swift mv :D all the songs fit so perfectly! season 2 better arrive here really really fast!!!!!

And was having a hard time relating to my teen girls, but watching the show listening to you guys brought back some memories.
