Nina, what I would give to play the castanets like you. I did a Spanish dance course many tears ago in London and learned to play. Dusted off my castanets to pay tribute to COVID 19 workers here in UK.
Thank you for reminding me of the beauty of this instrument and missed soothing rhythm. I regret not keeping this art form up but can be transported by others such as you. With thanks and well wishes,

Ez nem román tánc!!! Ősi magyar gyökerű tánc. A neve is csak magyarul érthető. Dobogón, fa pódiumon való táncritmus kidongatás. Trianonnal, az Erdélybe ragadt székelyek táncolják. Attól még magyar. Különben is, a szó csak magyarul érthető: fán, dobogón való ritmus kidongatás. Fán-dangó. Hogy mondanák ezt románúl?

Bela Bartok, the composer, named them “Romanian dances” but you can rename them if you want.
I believe that the performance is more important than our petty political remarks and the performance is excellent no matter what!
