- World famous shopping street at world's most expensive city - EIU. Bus ride from Singapore Botanic Gardens and UK/USA/Australia Embassies to Orchard Road. Orchard MRT station and a walk on Orchard Road, the planet's best toys on display, to my hotel room at Hotel Jen Orchard Gateway... Singapore at dusk... wonderful city ;-)

A very nice video that brings back memories of Singapore. We used to stay near the west end of Orchard Road about a block or so back from Orchard Towers. The fastest way to get to Orchard Road for us was to cut through Orchard Towers, entering the back tower through Jason's Market and continuing on through the front tower to Orchard. In the evening hours you did tend to see a lot of freelancing 'foreign talent' inside the towers and in front on the sidewalks. I used to enjoy the ice cream sandwich vendors along Orchard, though they had moved them away from the west end around the time of our last visit in 2010. Wisma Atria has a good food court, and we ate there quite a bit.
I stayed at the Orchard Hotel. I went to the largest book-store in Orchard Road to read the books. I know the Shaw Center and the American Club.
Thank you for the video on Orchard Road. It brings back happy memories of a visit to Singapore over 31 years ago and I just can't believe how busy it is now. I loved Singapore then but think it would be too busy and noisy for me now on Orchard Road. And crossing the roads must be a nightmare. It must be a very rich country now. Thank you again for the effort you put in with this video. The amount of shops on Orchard Road must be amazing.

People smoking everywhere on the streets in your face, food has MSG in most restaurants, no fresh grown food here, food imported from everywhere. Quality Groceries so so expensive, government rules with iron fist, no freedom of speech. Just big hotels, malls for shopping and then outside the city big high rise accommodation. On the good side It has parks and the city has many trees and bushes. Here on holiday now, got a constant headache from all the MSG in the food. People polite friendly & helpful. All Singaporeans complain in private about the government single party rule with no democracy. It’s ok for a weeks trip for shopping and seeing a city with trees in it. Taxi’s very good via grab-Taxi. It’s so hot being near the equator, like a sauna after raining. UV radiation from sun is so strong here I’ve got burnt in 1 hour 30 mins swimming. Good underground trains and buses. Very organized city. Couldn’t stand living in a place with 5 million people packed into 55/35 kilometers. This this the real facts. Nothing free here every is costs. Only good to make money here if your a professional. Speak out against the government and the put you in jail. No demonstrations again put you in jail - Singaporeans told me. Mostly Singaporeans are over worked, stressed and not happy. Even homeless on the street sleeping rough and beggars. Lots of sex bars and sex massage shops here. Many prostitution’s

Did you ever make it out to Pulau Ubin? The juxtaposition between that island and Orchard Road is remarkable. You really get a feel for what Singapore was like about 50 years ago, and a trip out there really lets one connect with the Lion City's former kampung (village) heritage. I really miss Singapore, especially after seeing your video. Thanks so much for posting it.

I got celebrated my 20th birthday here with my best friend the food was so delicious i eat a ribeye steak with mashed potatoes 🥔 and more food my mom ordered and they sing a birthday song for me they think theyre like my audience that im playing drums in a band and performing on stage.

+josie d Bishan-Orchard - I stayed with my cousins family 1987, Thompson Road, near Ang Mo Kio MRT. Swimming pool at Ang Mo Kio, I saw testing of MRT before they started. Bishan is next MRT station to AMK. Small world eh?
Vancouver really nice - did a sea plane tour there, went to the suspension bridge, and cable car to ski place. Marathon good coz see city. And the Rockies nearby - good place Vancouver...
