The cinema experience has ALWAYS sucked. I was born in the early 70s. Going to the theatre in the 70s and 80s (in the UK) included terrible seating (like back breaking hard), sticky floors that were never swiped, a smoking section which smoke lofted into the non-smoking section just meters away (as if the assumption was that the non-smoking section had an invisible barrier), mono stereo, one or if you were lucky two screenings that showed the same film for 2 weeks, and if the film was really popular like Grease or Star Wars or ET, resulted with queuing outside.....in the rain!
Add that to everything this dude said minus the mobile phones.
Kids today don't know how good they have got it.
In most occasions, Cinema is a shit experience but luckily with home theatres today, 4K resolution, OLED technology and surround sound systems....you can finally enjoy watching films with a system that can match if not better the one you pay for at the theatre. Also.....you can pause the movie when you want to pee.
