- What’s stopping you from accomplishing your dreams? I sat down with Rema in London on set of our video shoot and we got to chat about how we both got here:
Rema has had one of the most exciting projects of 2019. At only 19 years old, he is traveling the world touring his music and the new cover of The Fader. Congrats to him for winning Next Rated at the Headies in October! However, he had to take a risk to get to where he is today..
I was born outside of Lagos, Nigeria and moved to Brooklyn at 8 years old. I am excited for my homecoming trip back to Nigeria in a couple days! Talking and collaborating with Rema, made me feel connected back to my roots. I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to sit down with him if I didn’t quit my job at J. Crew to go tour with Billie Eilish..
The butterfly effect can be a crazy thing. One small move can change the outcome of your whole life. What I learned as this that 9 times out of 10, you won’t regret making that move. You will not regret taking that chance!
Rema is the only collaboration on my ‘Don’t Wake Me’ EP and it’s an honor to have him a part of the project! No dreams are too far fetched, just a reminder to stay inspired and never settle for less than what you see for yourself 🔮🤘🏾
Comment below, let me know what your dreams are and I’ll hit you back. The first step to following your dreams is speaking them into existence and believing they will become a reality!
you guys gotta release a album together, would be straight fire
