Hi guy's, 🐯 what a super video, it's as if I were driving the little jimny myself, great camera 📸 work. Have a jimny myself 🚙, love the scenery and the driving crossing the river. Absolutely brill loved every minute of it. Do you have belly plates fitted, or maybe you call them sump guards. Great work guys thanks. Wish you all the best with the off roading. 🚙🚙🆗😀. Liam kilkee clare ireland. 🚙
Hi Liam. Thanks for that! I’ve tried to position the camera so you get a drivers eye view, seeing the bonnet roll around gives you an idea what’s going on under the wheels! Check out my other videos for more of the same. Both cars had caster arm guards (these take a beating) and mine had a transfer case guard (now fitted to Marks Jimny as I’ve sold mine on). The sump is protected by the differential and I didn’t see the need to protect anything else. Enjoy your Jimny! Matt.
Drive it! If you're in the UK join GLASS to find out about your local lanes. Tyres and lift are the first two things to do. If I had to pick one I'd go with tyres. Enjoy, they're great little things.
Hello mate this looks great, I was looking at your route (the you posted on some replies) and was planning to do it, but on TW2 there doesn’t seem to be all the roads that you did on the app, there doesn’t seem to be much around pateley bridge, do you know if some of them have been closed since you did this? Or is the perhaps a button on the TW2 I’m not clicking to reveal the whole route!? Cheers dude and thanks for uploading these! Sam
Hi. The start of the route from Pateley bridge was on road anyway, so there won't be many green lanes showing up on TW2 until you get further north. We met there so I just plotted the route from there to the first lane. I'm unaware of any getting closed (been a while though) and if that happens they usually stay on TW2 with details of the closure. Can you see red and blue routes? If not then it's likely you've not selected the UCR or BOAT tabs in the 'Layers' menu on the left. Hope that solves it! Cheers.
@@ConSamification No worries! It’s been a year or so since I did them, but I’d say the FL2 should manage. Just don’t blame me when you’re hung up on a rock with two flat tyres! 😋 Should be fine.
Hi, here's the route - www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/osmaps/route/3994135/pately-bridge I get them from Trailwise2. Every legal lane is listed on the TW2 map, worth joining GLASS if you want to know more routes.
Looks like an epic day out.
Loved that video. Beautiful scenery and I just love seeing Jimny’s off roading in our beautiful country side.
