One thing that is disputable from what you've mentioned is that people in Xinjiang can work anywhere. Because there are other Uyghur UA-camrs who said they used to live in other cities outside of Xinjiang province. However ever since 2016-2017 where re-education camp stories came out, I am not really sure whether they can still do that. And yes I am pretty shocked that anything sharp requires registration and they are tied to a place, I didn't know that. Although to be fair, in the past there are terrorism activities that happened in the region where many ethnic Han were murdered, and there was an ISIS music on UA-cam singing in Mandarin. One thing that is disputable from what you've mentioned is that people in Xinjiang can work anywhere. Because there are other Uyghur UA-camrs who said they used to live in other cities outside of Xinjiang province. However ever since 2016-2017 where re-education camp stories came out, I am not really sure whether they can still do that. And yes I am pretty shocked that anything sharp requires registration and they are tied to a place, I didn't know that. Although to be fair, in the past there are terrorism activities that happened in the region where many ethnic Han were murdered, and there was an ISIS music on UA-cam singing in Mandarin. But yes, treating everyone like a prisoner or a terrorist is discrimination. I think China and India are pretty similar in this aspect where there is a lack of political awareness that discrimination is wrong.
