Yes you can! What most people do is actually solder in a new pixel if the old one is dead. This way all your sequence designs won't be shifted by one pixel. However, if you're changing a pixel, make sure you cut out the dead one AND the one before it! Sometimes the one before it can be the dead one, causing the "dead" pixel to look dead when it's actually not.
If you need to change a single prop you don't need to start all over. You can just delete the old prop and add the new one. However, when you open an old sequence with the old prop in it, it will ask if you want to move the effects to a new prop, or just delete them.
Are all of these different pixels made by different manufactures? Or are all of these stores selling the same pixels?? I just can’t see there are that many Chinese pixel factories.
I do know there are at least 3 different factories in China that make pixels. Ray Wu's store is one of them on Aliexpress, I can't remember where but I've seen a behind-the-scenes video of where their pixels are made a while ago. However, I can't remember what the other 2 are but I remember hearing about them before. I'm assuming most pixel vendors buy the pixels from one of these 3 factories.
glad to see you back hope you well rested
Great info. Glad your back. missed watching your videos.
Awesome info on this video , greatly appreciated
TNX for all the info. If you have a bad pixel, can you cut it out and solder the wires back together?

when you have a light show and you changed a prop do you have to start all over in xlights from scratch
