Mine is still saying that it is checking if it is up to date for almost 3 hours now. Can you tell me how to fix this? [I have a Vizio D-Series Smartcast TV]
You may have to start over from the beginning, unplug everything and then go through the steps. This is the hardest TV to set up I’ve ever ever done. It’s so crazy good luck thanks for watching.
Mine just keeps going back through the cycle you showed. Even if turned off and back on or unplugged and plugged back in some time later it does that - goes through language, location, room, etc. When I choose to skip the wifi step it gives me a message indicating updates can't be completed if there is no internet connection. How do I get past this so I can use my TV?
Mines is still stuck on updating and I’ve tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, but it keeps putting me through the same process in the beginning and updating multiple times my Wi-Fi is still connected
@@TomLeeman I ended up skipping the wifi setup since it was still connected to my wifi and finished the set up and it then had 8 updates and after that it was fine.
Excellent glad you got it working happy new year

You have to connect it to Wi-Fi to finish the start up or set up up

It may not be able to get your Wi-Fi. You may have to unplug your router and then plug it back in and try that.
Setting mine up after it finishes it’s updates it keeps making me redo the setup process with my wifi still connected and doing more updates
Try unplugging and starting again good luck thanks for watching

Mine is stuck on update mode
Tribe. Pulling the plug let it sit for a while, and then restart.
Never getting a Vizio ever again
I thought they were pretty good TV
