- Basque Mtb - High Pyrenees Trip
Day 5 from the Basque trip and the first day from the Biescas. This place was notably different from the previous days/places.
The valleys were steep-sided but still covered heavily in trees which gave it a different style and feel. I for one was a particular fan of this terrain.

Igor is the man! Always spreading joy with that smile
Sitting watch another great video, in cold gray Holland after cleaning all the shit of the bike. You in Spain in the sun, dry trails, I can get to dislike some people easily! Thank for reminding me what summer was like.
Wow. These vids are just elevated. Mixture of awesome riding and stunning scenery.
Definitely enjoyed this day's video, such a great place with OUTSTANDING TRAILS! Envious for the fun YOU had... 😁👍
Loving these video’s between BKXC and you.
Have just got back into MTB after a 10 year break (Work/starting family) but now that my oldest is starting out on two wheels I’m well and truly hooked again! Stumbled across your channel when looking at trails near Inverness and I’m using Learnie to cut my teeth before I brave the ‘other’ trails that are a bit closer!
Excellent content, even more so on Patreon. Hopefully the subscribers to it go up and we can send you across the pond in time for the next UA-camr crossover EWS!
McTrail Rider Fingers crossed 🤞
Turning out to be a killer trip, I've enjoyed every episode. Enjoy your last day & stay safe!
If I was only twenty years younger, great vid 👍👍👍
How you manage to keep up a commentary whilst doing that is beyond me. I was speechless just watching it!
What a wonderful area to ride in.
More sublime trails. That Basque lad has some skills, I reckon he could ride the trails on a unicycle! 🤙
I rode w that crew a few years ago. Those trails can put serious dread into you at times, but if you want to learn from those that really kmow how to ride mountains they are the ones to show you
Holy crap man, that was a fair trail like.... Incredible skills on display.... And yet another epic video :)
Another amazing video, thanks for posting! Looks like Igor is due for his annual haircut and shave :)
You don't half hit the trails at some speed going in blind 👍 what a start to a video looked amazing mirror image of mountains in background
All of that could catch me out ... 😱 Top riding.
Another great watch and epic trail what more could you ask for great stuff 🤘
👌 Great Stuff buddy 😉 Spot on Sweet trails 🚴😉 👌
Awesome videos mate, can’t wait to get back to Spain next year biking. Hopefully on the eeb.
This looks such a great area with scary good trails. You boys are great riders to watch and great skills ( not creeping just being honest) keep it up 👍
What caused your chain to come off the other day? Was it a random thing or was there a problem with the bike? The gearbox technology in the deviate is mega. If they coupled that to an e-bike motor 🤯
Amazing!
Looks an amazing trip and just the sort of trails I enjoy. @McTrail rider - how does the running order for the descents work itself out? When I go on rides with mates we sort of have enough grace to order ourselves in pace order, fastest at front, so everyone gets a good run without being held up. On a mixed trip like this I see the problem could be someone with an ego always pushing in front then holding you up...would be frustrating on an expensive trip!
Man awesome trip. I'm loving these deviate bikes and with the new bike coming out Im really itching for one. Ive ridden the pinion gearboxes before but not as much as you. From your time on the bike and gearbox , how is the drag on the gearbox over time? Meaning does the drag really slow you down and always slows you down ? or does it get less drag feeling over time when you start putting the miles on it?
Might go there this autumn. Any tips on tire choice if the conditions are similar to this clip i.e. dry? How much climbing is involved? Seems like you could get away with a lot more faster rolling tires than you'd think?
I highly recommend this trip, I’ve of the best in the world tbh.
As for tyres, you want the strongest and grippiest you can. There is very little climbing involved and there are some seriously sharp rocks in places.
@@McTrailRider thanks a lot appreciate it! Yes it look amazing for sure
Holy shit. I'm heading there next year.
Hello, are these tours with a guide or is this self-organised? Do you have gpx files for that? I was supposed to go there at the end of October with some friends. Regards, Philip
All this was with Basque mtb, 100% worth checking out 👍
Where do you fly into to get to Basque region Madrid or Barcelona?
I believe San Sebastián is the nearest airport for riding with Basque Mtb
Do you need a full suspension bike for this trip or can you also do it on a hardtail?
Would not recommend riding that on a hardtail!
