In the initial attack, the 4 Fighters that got a Schwarm bonus were ALSO able to claim a Rotte bonus as well. The Rotte could have nullified one of the hits on your 3 Fighters that were hit.
🤣 The info for what that sun icon on the Fuselage was a BITCH to find. On Page 45, middle of the page. The question mark on top of the sun icon made me keep glancing past it.
You're KILLIN' me, man! While waiting for the GTS UTAH Beach VASSAL mod, I should be going over those rules again, but now I'm foaming at the mouth to start another campaign of this one.
@@joeperez3520 Hello, you seem to know very much about the rules, can you tell me if Auxilary fighters earn VP points, and what happens if I lose an Auxilary fighter and have no staffel EP points to pay for the loss? Thank you.
@@Lisu3000 Excellent questions. I've only played '42 and Early '43 missions and haven't "purchased" any Auxiliaries. Since they are attached to your staffel, I don't see why you wouldn't get VP and Staffel EP for any aircraft they do damage to. Remember, your staffel is on a mission, and what matters to the "Fat Guy" is the number of Kills/Fallen bombers and escorts resulting from the overall mission. As far as not being able to pay for Auxiliary losses, that's a good one as well. I'd simply keep a notation on the Staffel Log as to how many EP you "owe," and require that deficit to be paid off immediately as any new EP are earned, and prohibit any OP being spent on Auxiliaries until the deficit is paid off. I posted a question to the designer at ConsimWorld Forums.
@@Lisu3000 It's been a month and I haven't received a reply to this issue that I posted at the Consim Forum. I'd just keep track of the deficit and pay it off with EP earned. I also wouldn't allow any Aux Fighters to be "purchased" until the deficit is paid off.
The Flight Limit is the number of Turns you can fly/fight. You don't take your Fighters away until the end of that turn, so that lone fighter left could have made one last desperate run at the bombers.
I'm curious as to why you are leaving Fighters with Damage Markers on the map until you resolve their Damage die-roll. The rulebook shows visual examples of a Fighter in a Return Box with a Damage Marker, but you're not putting them in the Return Box after Continuing Fire. They are supposed to go to a Return Box immediately after Continuing Fire. In fact, if you look at the Arial Combat Table, you will see marker modifiers to the Arial Combat table, and one of them is a Damage Marker on the Fighter. You're supposed to be in the Return Box with that Damage Marker, making you more vulnerable to the Escorts.
On page 45 in the italic text under Hit, it describes the hit aircraft as not being moved and not returning or exiting. But after reading what you wrote, and then going back and looking more at the rulebook, I see what you mean. I read more into this than I should have. I see now that I should be putting them back into the return box and they don't move out until after the recovery phase. I really appreciate all your comments as they are helping me get back into the game.
Thank you sir

Also, he forgot to roll for cohesion on every turn, had a chance for that last bomber to become a straggler.
