I’d like to meet the panel beater who cut and repaired the rust on this panel van huge credit to him as this model falcon was always bad for cancer great job

If Ford and Shelby can licence Superformance to make genuine continuations of the GT40 and Cobra 289/427 it would be a dream to see an Aussie company making continuations of the Sundowner, Drifter and Sandman. Absolute stunner. Well done for bringing another one back. 👍

My Sundowner didn’t have the air scoops down the bottom behind the doors either.
And the rear was completely metal except for the headliner.
I had one built direct from Broadmeadows with every option.
No stripes.
Got them in a box.
My mum was Edsel Fords secretary.
That awesome, do you still pictures on your Sundowner. I know Stephen deck the back to suit him and the Dealing put the side vents on and listed on paperwork as an option. Deals did a lot of things like that back in the day.
What a gorgeous XC Sundowner 4.9 V8, and in the best colour. I personally owned a XD Falcon S Pack 4.9 V8, 4 Speed Manual in Pine n’ Lime back in 1980. That is probably why I am biased to the colour…..lol
I just recently added to my Diecast Car Collection a 1/18 XC Sundowner in the Pine n’ Lime, made by Classic Carlectables.
Couldn't agree more! Plus I looking forward to getting on the die cast vans soon as well. Steve did a fantastic restoration on the XC Falcon Sundowner for sure.
"The Mobile Bedroom" as my misses' likes to call them.

A little ironic how Chrysler got in on the act with the Drifter.
Not a bad looking Van.
But, the name "Wog Chariot" that hung around Crysler back then, might have killed some of the the sales ???
Ford even bought out an Escort Panel Van around the same time.
A little small to sleep in the back of.
But, still a pretty cool car for it's time.

I had a late 78 XC Panel Van, Narooma blue 302 4 speed, I still regret selling it.

Nice Van I had one myself
The aircon is not factory however its a dealer aftermarket hence the shortened centre console
