    Thanks for your helpful review--it helped me pull the trigger! My SNE437 just arrived and I am very happy with the decision to buy. This model has the accuracy of quartz, the modernity of solar and the vintage aspect of the original automatic Seiko Diver's! This watch is everything I need and want. As an owner of a 1981 vintage and very classic SKX173 purchased at a NEX while stationed overseas and a 1998 SHC041, I can say without reservation, the SNE437 is pure dive joy and will quickly become my daily wearer. I put nearly 150 dives on the old SKX173--back in the day diving Navy dive tables--trusting it regularly to depths of 150fsw. This watch likely won't see that level of activity as serious dives today rely on the modern dive computers, but it will serve me well on the shallow dives as well as in the office. It will go on a Blu Shark NATO strap (or 3). For $199 the quality is very good and I have no noticeable or ocd inducing misalignment issues. I am so glad Seiko built this baby!

      As an addendum--the bracelet isn't bad, however, I do notice a less than spectacular fit at the end links to case. It's not terrible, just lacking superior fit and curvature. Also, I fear the highly polished center links will certainly get shredded in short order so I am saving the bracelet for later. This watch just screams "bad ass" on a quality NATO strap and presents a striking and commanding appearance--I have it on a Blu Shark Original 20mm Bond Black 'n' gray.

    I just received this watch a couple of weeks ago. I love it so far. It keeps time like a champ. I ordered a rubber strap, a Barton Deluxe silicone black with red underside to highlight the red seconds hand and red on the crown. I also have an "original Bond" NATO strap on its way. I can't wait. This is a great watch at the price point. No hassle.

    I really like this Seiko. I already own the SSC017 P2 I, in the blue accent. When I saw these New Seiko's I really like these a lot. I want one in the stainless steel bracelet with the black dial. I will own one these bad boy's. I own two Seiko's and looking at getting a few more in my collection. Great. video. Keep them coming

    it would have been so sweet if they put LED lights inside the dial like Casio did with their diver. you cant even tell they are there until you light them up and with that amazing Seiko lume it would be crazy!

    I just bought this watch in the SNE435 (PADI) version. I love the watch with the exception of the stock Seiko metal bracelet. Did not care for the lack of a taper and the shiny center links. I contacted Strapcode in an attempt to locate one if their fitted End Mill straps. They advised me that they dint currently make a bracelet for the SNE models. For that reason I went with a Strapcode straight edge End Mill bracelet. Very happy with this combination.

    • @cloudzrest

      Jan Reeves yea I would like an oyster for this watch, some taper with no polish

    • @janreeves5443
      @janreeves5443 7 років тому +1

      Any of the Strapcode 20mm straight edge bracelets will fit the SNE435/437 just fine. Strapcode apparently does not make a bracelet with curved endmills that will fit so that is not an option.

    • @tvarad

      I have tried 2 different seiko 20mm oyster bracelets with curved end links from stapcode hoping they would fit this watch, but wasn't successful. I tried the SSC015 model, I can't find the other one I tried. I think the best bet for now is straight end links.

    just ordered this online!! so excited. it was between this sne437 and the sne435. but i realized i can match black with more outfits. i plan on wearing this literally every day. it will be my third seiko, and im excited to add it to my collection. does this watch have an alignment issue with the bezzle as well?? i hope mine lines up nicely. haha. great video by the way!! enjoyed very much.

    I love this watch. It's a home run! Even though I consider my self a huge Seiko fan I don't like most their designs (does that even make sense?). Love the 20mm straps and the hole case. I only wish it didn't have the date but at least there's no day. I'll probably end up removing the magnifier.

    Hi. I have one of these watches and love it. But one thing that has annoyed me is that the fish eye lens above the date is raised slightly above the bezel and mine has already got a small scratch on it. I like to keep my watches in as perfect condition as possible and see this as a negative on what is a fantastic watch. Just my opinion.

    • @filmtajm35
      @filmtajm35 5 років тому +3

      I liked your comment and gave it a thumps up.
      But I must add this:
      As was said in the video - with quartz watches and solar - just set them and forget about it.
      With mechanical watches, the forget about it part is gone.
      And this makes it a whole world difference.
      Instead of just wearing a watch, wearing a mechanical one makes it a hobby.
      And a very fascinating one.
      That's why some people still prefer mechanical watches over quartz.

    • @cloudzrest

    Just bought this watch. I have to say Seiko have outdone themselves with the stainless steel bracelet. Its truly, and I mean truly awful. It sounds as if it's made from tin,. The clasp is OKish, but I wouldn't trust it. The watch itself is stunning though. Only other thing I have issues with is the cyclops which is also pretty bad. Straight on it works well with good magnification. However at any angle, and I mean even slight ones you cannot see anything at all. Good watch overall for the money, and certainly a good beater. Buy the watch but buy a new bracelet or strap at the same time.

      Seiko kinetic can be good if you only have a few watches that you wear, and you wear it regularly. If you have three or more watches that you wear, and the kinetic won't get much consistent rest time it will eventually wear down the battery and it's hard to recharge it, the kinetic I have the SKA413 I wear it a few days a month and I can't keep it charged. I think that solar is a better option if you're going to wear the watch in frequently
