- Wongel Zelalem reports on a letter written by Empress Zewditu addressing African descendants to come back home. The letter was named 'call to Africa'.
As a black American I'll just say thank you. That means something to me.
@@galemartin9155 Most Africans love Black Americans it's just a few bootlicks who despise you
Same here. On another note, I believe Ethiopia was the only African country NEVER colonized by Europeans.
@@CathleenRandolph-ye5km For me it's just the fact that one of the nations of my ancestral continent actually made an attempt to get us back. That changes things for me a little bit.
@@CathleenRandolph-ye5km: Ethiopia was the only country in the world not to be conquered or colonised. The Most High Creator he blesses Africa above all.
The etymology of Ethiopia means region of dark skinned people and encompassed more land than today’s Ethiopia. Look into Prester John.

No we won’t. You do know they enslaved our ancestors and everyone wants to just gloss over that. The ancestors are not pleased. They are still waiting on their justice!
Yes and during the Italian invasion African American men signed up to fight to help protect Ethiopia. Killing the idea that we can’t and don’t stick together. We are one! Tuko Pamoja!

not signed up but did go there to fly those planes to fight sent, the black star nurses to ethiopia, sent supplies, rioted and burned italian business
Nobody signed up. They literally disobayed the military and left their post. They weren't allowed to go there. We helped out the Philippines the same way as well.

I'm a 71 year old African American but I never heard it before.
I never knew this. What a Great Queen! One of the only countries to maintain sovereignty. To know that this Queen considered me as belonging to Ethiopia just to get me out of the hell hole of America warms my heart because that was always a question that I had for African leaders. Why didn't y'all come get us?!!
Remember many great African leaders like Patrice Lumumba and I think even others had plans to do that but most of them got overthrown thanks to sellouts and the CIA, British, and French.
Hell hole? Yeah right. The country that has the freest, happiest and most prosperous blacks on the face of the planet, and you still manage to complain. Please leave then, we’d rather have a grateful, productive migrant as a trade.
We are already save by haille sellasie in the AU CONSTITUTION. Puppet leaders keep it hidden for their nationalist agenda for European.
@@Politics-qi4jm sound like you can’t afford to go
Yep! ✌️😐
It just shows you, they won't let us go and they won't leave us alone, because it benefit them!!!
Would you go for real!? Would you really!?
Yep. We are still a commodity. They know we’re out if they pay us that debt they owe.
😂. Nobody is keeping yall here. The US government would happily pay for some of y’all to go and stay forever just to lower crime. Stop the 🧢.
BLACK people built America through slavery and maintain it through indenture servitude. BLACK people is America
@nonino1644 What debt is that, Shabazz? What exactly are you owed, and who owes it to you? Not only we're you lucky to be born in the greatest nation the earth has ever known, but you are allowed more freedoms than you would ever have anywhere else in the world. YOU WERE NEVER A SLAVE. YOU AREN'T OWED ANY REPARATIONS. YOU AREN'T BEING HELD HERE AGAINST YOUR WILL. GET THE HELL OUT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT HERE.
Well said and well done , the blood that unites us is stronger than the waters that’s dividing us . Later .

The rasta in Jamaica 🇯🇲 always told us

But, the problem with Jamaicans is they worship her husband who condemned those who considered Ethiopia as "African" & "Black" and reduced even Garvey himself to an embarrassment & clogged and sold native, proud black Ethiopians/non-Abysinians to slavery, preferring to claim ancestry from White, a fairytale stranger than fiction

So JMs started relocating since the late 1900s thru the 1990s. The area they settled was Shashamane also known as Little Jamaica.
Also, Black Americans were significantly supportive of Ethiopia against Italian invasion, many Black Americans volunteered to join in the fight. Black American Men trained for Military action, an estimated 8,000 in Chicago, 5,000 in Detroit, 2,000 in Kansas City & several out of Harlem. ✊Much Respect to Ethiopia. Yes, so true, there is a reason this letter did not reach the ears of Blacks in the West back then in the 1920's, Back then Black Americans were still the primary labor force in those days, Imagine If Blacks back the would have left the U.S.A. in mass numbers, the economy of the U.S.A. would have suffered, so more likely than not the government got word and made it go silent.
As a Caribbean man from St Vincent and the world i always have that love for Ethiopia
WOW! Had no idea! Thanks for sharing.
As a child growing up from birth in 1952, We never were taught about our origins in Africa. Although the majority of African Americans were brought from west Africa, somehow as an elementary school child, I always identified myself as an Ethiopian, from my own reasoning. My mother and father easily looked Ethiopian. I don't know where in west Africa I would identify. I definitely have the genes of white slave owners in my bloodline, but I feel in my soul my east African roots. I learned a few decades ago that the oldest discovery of human remains was excavated in Ethiopia. Since becoming a Muslim in 1974,I've become acquainted with many Ethiopians. I truly identify with them, and most Africans. My Sudanese friends are also delightfully close. AL Islam has truly opened African doors with many wonderful relationships. But Ethiopia has always been my identifying place of origin. Thanks for this video.
Emperor Hallie sellasie gave shazamani land for all black people of the west for their support in the Italian war against Ethiopia. We still have it in the Ethiopia constituted by HIM. Father of African Unity. BLACK AFRICAN UNITY
Another reason why they don't want Black history taught in the schools. Better get your children and grandchildren those library cards and self-educate.

OUR FOCUS MUST BE ABOUT BEING HOLY, WALKING WITH GOD, OBEYING GOD'S COMMANDMENTS AND ON COLLECTIVE ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT FOR BLACK PEOPLE!
BEING FEARLESS, PRO-ACTIVE, CONTINUOUSLY IN PRAYER BUT ALSO DOING THE WORK INTENTIONALLY ON A 24/7 BASIS - EVERY DAY, ALL DAY!
